CDB Aviation and SAS Agree on Lease of Fleet of Four Airbus Aircraft CDB Aviation announced today a new transaction with SAS Airlines for a fleet of four Airbus aircraft, including three A320neos and one A350-900. The deliveries of these aircraft are expected to occur between June 2020 and May 2022. “We are very delighted to carry out yet another transaction with SAS for these Airbus aircraft,” said CDB Aviation Chief Marketing Officer Peter Goodman, elaborating that “we look forward to further assisting in the reshaping of SAS’ fleet, particularly in support of efforts to advance environmental sustainability goals for their fleet operations.” Chengdu Airlines successfully receives 21st ARJ21 aircraft On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of ARJ21's operation at Chengdu Airlines, Chengdu Airlines received the 21st ARJ21 aircraft in Shanghai on 28th June. It is reported that this ARJ21 aircraft with a nationality registration number of B-605N is in all economy-class cabin configuration and has already flown to Chengdu on the same day. China United to Introduce China's 1st Piece-Based Domestic Baggage Policy China United Airlines (CUA) has implemented a brand-new baggage policy, which claims to be a first in China. The new policy uses a piece-based measurement instead of weight-based for checked baggage across its domestic network while the standard weight limit of single checked baggage has also been relaxed from 20kg to 23kg. The introduction of new baggage policy is to help the carrier tremendously in benchmarking international baggage practice, enhancing transit efficiency as well as further facilitating passengers to enjoy a smooth air travel experience. Comac C919 jet conducts high-temperature test flights in Xinjiang Comac’s C919 aircraft has started high-temperature test flights in Turpan, a city known as the land of fire in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and flight testing will last for a month. Turpan is renowned for its harsh desert climate, especially its extreme summer. Between June and August, the average temperature there can surpass 38 degrees Celsius.
