CDB Aviation Completes Delivery of Two 737-800 Aircraft to Ukraine International Airlines
CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited announced the completion of the delivery of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Ukraine’s flag carrier Ukraine International Airlines. The aircraft delivered from CDB Aviation’s order book with Boeing. Configured with 186 seats in a two-class layout, the two aircraft will be operated across UIA’s medium-haul network, as part of the previously announced plans to replace the airline’s 737 classic fleet and develop new international, medium-haul services.
DAE Capital names David Houlihan to newly created position of President
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd. has announced 9 May the appointment of David Houlihan to the newly created position of President of DAE Capital. Under Mr. Houlihan’s leadership this business line will encompass most of DAE’s customer facing activities. This function will include the areas of Sales, Trading, Technical and the recently launched Aircraft Investor Services
FPG Amentum arranges sale of two Germania A319s
FPG Amentum announced 11 May the sale of two Airbus A319-112s (MSNs 3533 & 3560). The aircraft were sold on behalf of FPG Amentum’s investor customer Global Aircraft Fund I.
Fly Leasing’s Acquisition of Major Aircraft Portfolio Approved by AirAsia Shareholders
Fly Leasing announced 16 May that all agreements relating to FLY’s acquisition of 55 Airbus narrow-body aircraft and seven CFM engines on operating lease, and the option to purchase an additional 20 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, were approved by the shareholders of AirAsia at their extraordinary general meeting on May 14, 2018.
GOAL introduces additional four A320neo aircraft to its fleet for KGAL investors
GOAL German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co. KG (GOAL) announced 11 May that it has arranged, through Irish leasing companies, purchase and lease transactions for four Airbus A320neo aircraft with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo). Aircraft deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2018.
Maples acts on aircraft securitization for Sapphire Aviation Finance
Maples and Calder advised Sapphire Aviation Finance I Limited, as issuer, and Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited, as seller, on Cayman Islands and Irish law in connection with a US$768.4 million offering of aircraft asset-backed, fixed-rate secured notes. The deal involves a portfolio of 41 aircraft on lease to 30 lessees in 19 countries. The transaction was completed on March 23.
Ruili Airlines and SMBC Aviation Capital sign letter of intent for the placement of two aircraft
SMBC Aviation Capital and Chinese airline, Ruili Airlines announced that they have signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the placement of two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This is the first commitment that Ruili Airlines has negotiated with an aircraft leasing company outside of China. The announcement was made at an event in Ruili City, China to celebrate the airline’s four-year anniversary.
