Air Transat and WestJet launch Transatlantic codeshare Air Transat and WestJet have launched a new transatlantic codeshare. WestJet’s “WS” code is now activated for sale on select Air Transat operated flights to/from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, and Croatia with connections via Montreal and Toronto are now available for flight dates commencing 17th May. In addition from 4th May Air Transat’s “TS” code will be activated on select WestJet flights,  from that date Air Transat will also offer itineraries connecting select WestJet flights with Air Transat European destinations. Allegiant Announces Aircraft Base in Provo, Utah Allegiant Travel Company announced plans to establish a four-aircraft base at Provo Airport (PVU). The Las Vegas-based company will invest approximately $95 million to establish the new base of operations, creating at least 157 new jobs. The company, which focuses on linking travellers in small-to-medium cities to world-class leisure destinations, plans to begin its base operations in Provo on 16th November. Archer and United Airlines Form Joint eVTOL Advisory Committee to Support Archer’s Future Airline Operations Archer Aviation and United Airlines have announced the creation of a joint eVTOL advisory committee. The committee is focused on advising on maintenance and operational concepts to recommend to Archer for its all-electric aircraft aimed at driving towards best-in-class operational standards in the emerging eVTOL industry. The Committee is chaired by Archer’s Vice President of Engineering, Dave Dennison and United’s Mauricio Angel, United’s Managing Director, United Express TechOps Strategy and Operations. Over the long-term, Archer's goal is to work with United to create UAM fleet support leveraging logistics concepts and networks already in use thereby creating operational efficiencies. REX And Delta Air Lines Announce Partnership Rex announced it had signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Delta Air Lines, the leading global airline. The LOI confirmed the parties’ intention to enter into a ‘definitive commercial agreement’. The final agreement will see Rex and Delta providing reciprocal interline ticketing and baggage services to each other commencing during the third quarter in 2022. Rex’s passengers will be able to connect seamlessly on Delta’s daily, non-stop flights between Sydney and Los Angeles, a frequency which will increase to 10 flights a week beginning 18th December and from there to nearly 50 cities in the U.S. ST Engineering and United Airlines Sign MOU for Long-term Airframe Maintenance at Pensacola ST Engineering, Mobile Aerospace Engineering and United Airlines, Inc (United) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the MRO Americas 2022 conference in Dallas, Texas, U.S., that aims to have ST Engineering see part of United’s long-term airframe heavy maintenance needs move to the Pensacola International Airport in Florida. ST Engineering currently supports United’s Airbus A320 Family out of its facility in Mobile, Alabama. Under the MOU, ST Engineering will extend its heavy maintenance support to the airline by servicing additional narrowbody aircraft at the airframe Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) complex that ST Engineering is constructing at the Pensacola International Airport.
