Asia’s First Large-scale Aircraft Recycling Facility China Aircraft Recycling Remanufacturing Base Commences Operation

CALC announce that Asia’s first large-scale aircraft recycling facility, China Aircraft Recycling Remanufacturing Base, owned by Aircraft Recycling International Limited , a member company of the Group, has formally commenced operation 8 June. Located on the south side of China’s Harbin Taiping International Airport. It has a gross floor area of 300,000 sqm. With the construction of Phase I completed, the Base has had an effective handling capacity of 20 aircraft per year.

Bell Delivers First Three 505s to its Largest Chinese Customer

Bell has delivered the first three of 110 Bell 505 Jet Ranger X to Chinese operator Reignwood International Investment Group Company Ltd. following certification of the aircraft last month by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The company is the launch operator of the 505.

Chinese airlines reapply fuel surcharge after 3 years

More than 10 Chinese air carriers have announced they will add a fuel surcharge to domestic routes from June 5 amid rising oil prices, three years after termination of the policy. According to reports airlines will begin charging 10 yuan ($1.56) on sector lengths up to 800 kilometers (497.1 miles).

PJSC UAC and COMAC Approved the General Layout of CR929 Aircraft

On 6 June United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC) and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) approved the general layout of CR929 long-range wide-body aircraft. The parties agreed as to the aircraft principal geometry – wing span and shape, fuselage length, fuselage nose and tail section dimensions, aircraft fins sizing and form, location of engines, landing gear and doors.

Sino Jet Moves To Expand Bizav Market in Chengdu

Sino Jet Group has formed a strategic alliance with Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport Air Ground Services as the business aviation services provider seeks to expand its operation and build the market further into China. The two entities signed a collaborative agreement last week during EBACE that will provide Sino Jet access to a range of services.

Spring Japan Selects HAECO Xiamen As Its Line Services Provider in China

HAECO Xiamen announced 7 June that it has entered into an agreement with Japan Airlines Group and Spring Airlines Japan to provide line services for Spring Japan at all of its four destinations in China. This co-operation follows an expanded engineering services agreement between JAL and Spring Japan in December 2017. Subsequently, HAECO Xiamen was selected as an exclusive partner to handle their line maintenance operations in China.

Temasek-led group buy Dh4bn stake in Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines plans to raise as much as 7 billion yuan (Dh4.03bn) by selling shares to investors, including an arm of Singapore state fund Temasek, as part of a restructuring planned by the unit of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group. The Haikou, Hainan-based carrier is selling up to 20 per cent of its Shanghai-listed shares to 10 investors, the company said in a statement on June 9. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund plane purchases, aviation training, maintenance and airport business.

United Rotorcraft receives China CAAC Validation for Bell 407

United Rotorcraft is pleased to announce they have received CAAC (Civil Aviation Authority of China) validations of Supplemental Type Certificates (VSTC) for the United Rotorcraft 407 EMS kit, their Articulating Litter Loading System (ALLS), and their controllable Search Light kit. The validation supports the delivery of the first three Chinese EMS Bell 407s. United Rotorcraft continues to pursue CAAC Validation for other products, as well as development of interiors for newer airframes, such as the Bell 505, Leonardo Helicopter 169 and the Airbus lineage.
