For more than five years Stuart Hanley, Aztec’s founder, has been working with North American representatives for China’s Harbin Aircraft Industry Group to become the U.S. launch customer for its Y12F turboprop plane.

BOC Aviation acquires two B747-8 freighter aircraft

BOC Aviation Limited announced 31 March that it has purchased two Boeing 747-8 freighter aircraft. Both aircraft have been committed on long-term leases to AirBridgeCargo Airlines, one of the world’s leading international cargo airlines. AirBridgeCargo Airlines fleet consists of 16 aircraft including 9 Boeing 747-8F aircraft.

China Everbright eyes $1.5 billion financial deal in overseas push

The financial services arm of state-owned China Everbright Group plans to allocate $1.5 billion of its 2017 spending to the purchase of a fund manager, private bank or insurer overseas to help it raise cash more easily and extend its presence abroad according to an Reuters last Friday. CEL has been among China’s financial players that have pushed into aircraft leasing and is the biggest stakeholder in China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC). CALC, which leases mostly to Chinese airlines, would increase the number of its portfolio from 85 aircraft to 120 this year and 200 by 2020.

CDB Aviation Lease Finance Delivers New B737-800 to Shandong Airlines

CDB Aviation Lease Finance a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited announced 28 March the delivery of one new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Chinese carrier, Shandong Airlines. This is the ninth aircraft on lease from CDB.

ICBC Leasing delivers new Airbus A320 to Cobalt Air

After partnering with the ICBC Leasing, the leasing arm of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Cobalt Air has welcomed its fifth aircraft. The aircraft is expected to start revenue flights shortly and satisfy the increasing demand for seats to and from Cyprus, the new Airbus A320 is the second aircraft to join the Cobalt fleet under leases from ICBC Leasing.
