Air China to suspend flights on Beijing-Hawaii route
Air China will suspend its flights on the Beijing-Hawaii route from 27th August after a review of its network, China’s flagship carrier as travel demand remains weak amid an escalating US-China trade war. Passenger load factor for Air China’s thrice-weekly Beijing-Honolulu route averaged 66.37 per cent last year, according to Chinese aviation data provider Variflight.

BOC Aviation delivers Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to Norwegian

BOC Aviation announced 30TH July the delivery of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to Norwegian. This aircraft is from the Company’s existing order book.

BOC Aviation Leases Ten New Airbus A320NEO Aircraft To Air China

BOC Aviation announced 6th August that it has signed leases for ten new Airbus A320NEO aircraft to Air China. The aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower® PW1100G-JM engines, and are scheduled for delivery in 2019 and 2020. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation said “China remains an important market with its robust demand growth, and BOC Aviation is well placed to support this with an orderbook that comprises popular, new technology narrowbody aircraft. Air China’s choice of the A320NEO aircraft aligns with our focus on investing in the most technologically advanced aircraft models.”

China Postal receives first 737-800BCF

China Postal Airlines took redelivery of its first 737-800BCF (30786, ex-China Southern Airlines), on lease from BBAM.

CDB Aviation’s New Customer Ural Airlines Receives First of Three A320neo Aircraft

CDB Aviation announced 6th August the delivery of an Airbus A320neo aircraft to its new customer in Russia, Yekaterinburg-based Ural Airlines. The aircraft is part of the lease agreement for a fleet of three A320neos, with two further jets slated for arrival through the end of 2019. The delivery also marks the introduction of the first CFM International LEAP-1А-powered A320neo to be operated in Russia.

Sichuan Airlines to add Helsinki as long-haul plans grow

In the latest expansion of Sichuan Airlines’ intercontinental services, the carrier will add a stop in Helsinki to its service between Copenhagen and Chengdu, China. The route, which opened in December, is operated by Airbus A330-200s which were switched to A350-900s in August according to ATW 9TH August.
