BOC Aviation Delivers Final Of Seven Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft To Turkish Airlines

BOC Aviation announced that it has delivered the final aircraft of a seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft transaction to Turkish Airlines. The aircraft is powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation Mr. Robert Martin said “This delivery reflects the strong level of cooperation that we enjoy with Turkish Airlines, building on our 18-year relationship. We look forward to further developing our long and successful partnership with Turkish Airlines as we continue to provide our airline customers with more fuel-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft solutions.”

Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) certifies Z15 helicopter

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on granted certification to the Z15 helicopter, the country’s first homegrown, medium-sized helicopter model for civil use, announced Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). It can carry up to 16 passengers with a 7.5-tonne maximum take-off weight and a maximum range of 850 km. It is China’s first civil helicopter developed, tested and verified under the requirements of the country’s newly-revised Airworthiness Regulation of Transport Category Rotocraft.

Leonardo to supply two helicopters for Hunan province

Xiangjiang General Aviation Development Company (Xiangjiang GA) a provider of aerial emergency medical and firefighting services in China’s Hunan province, has ordered two new helicopters from Leonardo. The orders include an AW139 medium twin-engine helicopter scheduled for delivery in 2023Q1, and an AW109Trekker light twin-engine helicopter, for delivery in 2022Q4. The aircraft will be used in Hunan province to provide helicopter emergency medical (HEMS), firefighting and ‘public security’ operations, and are being acquired as part of plans to establish a nationwide HEMS and firefighting network in China.

Sichuan Airlines resumes flights between Helsinki and Chengdu

Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines has resumed its weekly Airbus A330-300 service from Helsinki Airport to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The reopening of the route is an important step towards the recovery of Chinese scheduled flights. Finavia’s Senior Vice President responsible for route development Petri Vuori said “We are very happy that Sichuan Airlines is returning to Helsinki Airport. The reopening of the route is an important step towards the recovery of Chinese air travel from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

TRU Gets China CAAC Nod for Cessna Citation M2 Sim

TRU Simulation + Training’s Cessna Citation M2 full-flight simulator for the Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC) has received level-D qualification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Located at CAFUC’s training center in Guanghan City, China, the simulator will support the university’s fleet of four Citation M2s and expands the capabilities of China’s largest pilot training school.
