China targets 2023-2025 for recovery in international air travel

China will focus on expanding domestic flights and restoring international air travel in 2023-2025, as it issued a new five-year development plan for a sector heavily battered by COVID announced the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC)

EHang and C.P. Group Form Strategic Partnership to Introduce Autonomous Aerial Vehicles to Thailand for Urban Air Mobility

EHang announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. one of the largest conglomerates in Thailand, with an intent to establish a joint venture in Thailand for AAV sales and urban air mobility operations. The two parties intend to fully leverage their respective expertise and resources in a long-term comprehensive collaboration on AAV product. The parties expect that their strategic collaboration will unleash UAM solutions’ value-creating potential across multiple industries. EHang CEO Huazhi Hu stated “We are thrilled to partner with C.P. Group to introduce EHang AAVs to Thailand, one of the largest Southeast Asian markets with great potentials for UAM operations. We will work with C.P. Group, who has a wealth of comprehensive business strengths in their local markets, on extensive and sustainable cooperation in various fields, to take the lead in bringing safe, autonomous and eco-friendly air mobility to Thai industries and society.”

mas starts scheduled cargo flights into China

Mexican Airline mas -formerly known as MasAir- performed its inaugural flight between the Mexico City and the Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, in China.   mas will operate for Universal Translink Aviation Transportation Service Co., Ltd (UTA), a company focused on international transportation, container shipping, air cargo services and supply chain solutions. The exchange of cargo between the Americas and Asia will start with two weekly frequencies and will grow to three frequencies per week starting in July. These flights will be operated with mas’ recently delivered A330-200P2F, with a capacity of 60 tonnes, translating into a weekly capacity of tonnes, or over 18,000 tonnes per year.
