Air India, Air India Express to shift some Dubai flights to Sharjah
Air India and its low-budget airline Air India Express have announced a change in airport for some of their flights during the runway renovation period in Dubai International Airport from 16 April to 30 April.
AirAsia has announced the launch of a new route from Ahmedabad to Bangkok commencing 31 May under AirAsia Thailand.

Freightos’ WebCargo acquires India-based Air Freight Bazaar
WebCargo, a Freightos company, has announced the acquisition of Air Freight Bazaar, a regional air cargo rates and sales platform based in Chennai, India. The Indian air cargo industry is one of the fastest growing in the world, with a 16.9 percent growth rate in 2017.
IndiGo Announces 23 New Flights
IndiGo announced three new international and 20 domestic flight connections. IndiGo will operate daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Jeddah, and between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi with effect from 5th June,the airline said in a press release. From 5th July, it will operate daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Dammam (Saudi Arabia). Jeddah and Dammam are the newly-introduced international destinations on IndiGo’s network while Abu Dhabi is an existing destination, the statement noted. Additionally, IndiGo will operate 20 domestic flights from Mumbai connecting different cities across India, starting from 15 April.
IndiGo to operate from Mumbai Airport Terminal 2
IndiGo will be operate Mumbai airport Terminal 2 from 15 April. The carrier will operate new flights to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi, Nagpur, Patna, Vadodara, Varanasi and Kochi. In a statement the carrier said “We are thrilled to announce the below additional flights from Terminal 2, Mumbai starting 15 April 2019. We hope this will add more joy to this summer holiday season and entice you to travel more.”
SpiceJet to induct 16 Boeing 737-800 Aircraft
SpiceJet announced 12 April that it will induct 16 Boeing 737-800 aircraft on dry lease. In a statement the carrier said “SpiceJet will induct 16 Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft on dry lease and has applied to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to import the aircraft. Subject to regulatory approvals, the aircraft would begin joining SpiceJet fleet in the next ten days.”
