DHL Aviation launches new Bahrain-Delhi route

DHL Aviation launched a new Bahrain to Delhi route operating six times weekly. In a LinkedIn post, the carrier  said “DHL has commenced operations for the first ever DHL Aviation Bahrain freighter directly to Delhi. With this addition, Delhi will now have 17 freighter connections every week, linking both North and East India to over 220 countries and territories across DHL’s global network.”

Fly Baghdad picks Rainbow Aviation as India GSA

Fly Baghdad announced it selected Rainbow Aviation as their cargo General Sales Agent (GSA) for the Indian market. The carrier operates twice weekly from Baghdad to Mumbai using Boeing 737-700 aircraft and plans to expand to other key Indian cities, creating new supply chain routes for industries.

Karnataka Government Launches Aviation Policy 

The Karnataka Government announced plans to launch a “Comprehensive Civil Aviation Policy”  The state government held collobrative meetings with industry stakeholder. The goal is have an airport accessible to people within 100km radius within the state and enhance economic activity.  Joint Secretary, Ministry Of Civil Aviation Usha Padhee stated “Considering that Karnataka is going to develop 16 airports and planning to expand on international, national, and regional airlines the policy will help but last mile connectivity will have to be planned accordingly. The ecosystem needs to be worked out with proper infrastructure and kick start with incentives.”

First Airbus A320P2F delivered to Pradhan Air Express 

Indian start-up carrier Pradhan Air Express has taken delivery of the world’s first converted A320 freighter aircraft. The aircraft will operate domestically and internationally with payload capacity of 21 tonnes. Pradhan Air Express Founder & CEO Nipun Anand, said “The arrival of the aircraft marks the completion of another important phase and brings us closer to our Air Operator Permit to commence commercial operations soon.”

IndiGo Selects RECARO Aircraft Seating 

Indian Low cost carrier IndiGo announced it has selected Recaro Aircraft Seating (Recaro) BL3710 for 75 A320neo and A321neo aircraft deliveries commencing in January 2023 . IndiGo Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer Mr. Sanjay Kumar said “As we expand our network, domestically and internationally to cater to the travel demand, the comfortable seats will be key to upgrading the customer experience onboard IndiGo.”
