Bangalore International Airport Limited Partners with IBM for Digital and IT Transformation

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) and IBM announced a ten-year agreement under which IBM and Kyndryl will provide best of breed IT solutions to create a new “Airport in a Box” platform that will support transforming the end-to-end travel experience for passengers at BLR Airport. “We are excited to partner with IBM as part of our vision to make BLR Airport the Smart Airport– a digitalized, seamlessly connected, intuitive airport,” said Mr. Hari Marar, MD & CEO, BIAL. “BLR Airport is a pioneer and leader of change in the Indian aviation industry. Hyderabad to host next edition of WINGS INDIA

‘WINGS INDIA 2022’ – the flagship biennial exhibition on civil aviation – will be organised from March 24 – 27, 2022 at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) announced last week. Ministry of Civil Aviation and FICCI jointly organises this event which provides a platform to the aviation fraternity to showcase the challenges of the aviation sector and understand how the technology driven innovations will change the air travel in future.

IndiGo climbs 7 ranks to be 36th in brand finance top 50 airline list

IndiGo has emerged as a stronger and more valuable airline brand over the last year as per the Brand Finance Top 50 Airlines Report 2021. IndiGo rose to the 36th place in 2021 from 43rd in 2020, registering the highest gain of 7 points. Rajasthan CM approves land allotment for new Kota airport

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the allotment of 1,250 acres of free land for a brand new airport in Kota. The instructions in this regard have been issued to the District Collector, Kota. On the initiative of the chief minister and after continuous efforts made by the state government, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation agreed to set up a greenfield airport.
