CDB Aviation Lease Finance Delivers First of Three 737-800s to Urumqi Air

CDB Aviation Lease Finance DAC announced 17 August the delivery of the first of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Urumqi Air, a Chinese low-cost carrier based at Urumqi Diwopu International Airport.

DAE Completes Acquisition of AWAS

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd announced 20 August completed the previously announced acquisition of the AWAS group of companies. The acquisition of AWAS propels DAE into the top tier of global aircraft lessors. DAE will now conduct its aircraft leasing business using the DAE Capital brand name. DAE Chief Executive Officer Firoz Tarapore said: “This acquisition of the best-in-class AWAS platform provides DAE with an enhanced market position. This combined with our capital strength and our committed long-term ownership will allow us to provide a more comprehensive range of aviation fleet and financing solutions to our clients across the globe. The senior management team, representing the best of AWAS and DAE, is now in place and focusing on the seamless integration of the businesses.”.

Falko Regional Aircraft Limited adds four Embraer E190 aircraft to its portfolio from FPG Amentum

Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (Falko) announced 21 August that it has added four (4) Embraer E190 aircraft to its portfolio. The aircraft have been acquired from FPG Amentum, an Irish based international aircraft investment management company, and are currently on lease to KLM Cityhopper.

GMT Global acquires one Airbus A319

GMT Global Republic Aviation announced 18 August that it has completed the acquisition of one Airbus A319‐100 aircraft, on lease to American Airlines. ”GMT is pleased to add this aircraft to our portfolio,” said Randy Dietrich, CEO of GMT Global and Republic Financial Corporation.  “The A319 has established itself as an integral part of the single‐aisle market and is operated today by over 100 airlines around the world.  We also look forward to further developing our relationship with American Airlines over the coming years.”

SKY Leasing Closes Inaugural Structured Aircraft Portfolio Transaction

SKY Aviation Leasing International Limited announced 23 August the closing of an issuance of $780.8 million of secured notes by S-JETS 2017-1 Limited . S-JETS expects to use a portion of the proceeds of the Notes to acquire a portfolio of 21 Airbus and Boeing aircraft worth approximately $1 billion. On lease to airline customers worldwide, the aircraft have a weighted average age of 3.4 years and a weighted average remaining lease term of 7.5 years. The portfolio includes eight different aircraft models and 18 of the 21 aircraft are narrowbodies. SKY will act as servicer for the aircraft portfolio.
