ABX Air Names New COO 

ABX Air announced that Patrick Fluegeman will become the airline’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 1st July.

Azorra to Acquires NAC Portfolio 

Azorra announced that acquisition of 11 Embraer E-Jet aircraft portfolio which were formerly owned by Nordic Aviation Capital and are in addition to the recently completed purchase of a 37 aircraft portfolio.

Bombardier Expands Singapore Service Centre

Bombardier celebrated the expansion of its Singapore Service Centre, which quadruples the size of the original centre located at Seletar Aerospace Park now encompasses 290,000 sq ft (27,000 sq m in an $85 million investment. The centre will offer  Global 7500, advanced interior finishing capabilities, as well as engineering, sales, and customer support operations.

First Gulfstream G800 Flight

Gulfstream Aerospace announced 28th June the new Gulfstream G800 successfully completed its first flight, officially launching the test flight-test program. The G800 can fly 8,000 nautical miles/14,816 kilometres at Mach 0.85 and 7,000 nm/12,964 km at Mach 0.90 with class-leading fuel-efficiency, thanks to the combination of the Gulfstream-designed, advanced high-speed wing and all-new, high-thrust Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines.

GE Announces Leadership Changes 

GE announced that H. Lawrence Culp, Jr. has been named Chief Executive Officer of GE Aviation, effective immediately, in addition to his current role as Chairman and CEO of GE. John Slattery, current President and CEO of GE Aviation, has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the business. The company also announced that Russell Stokes, current Senior Vice President, GE and President & CEO, GE Aviation Services, has been named President and CEO, Commercial Engines and Services with expanded operational responsibility for Aviation’s largest segment. These leadership changes follow GE’s November announcement of its plan to separate GE into three independent, industry-leading, investment-grade companies focused on the growth sectors of Aviation, Healthcare, and Energy.

Global Crossing Airlines Announces Secures TUI fly Netherlands ACMI Deal 

Global Crossing Airlines announced the signing of an ACMI wet lease agreement to operate two Airbus A320 aircraft for TUI Airlines Netherlands for use in its European summer programs . The carrier will provide the aircraft and crews to TUI fly Netherlands for peak season flying in July and August operating an extensive flight schedule from Amsterdam. GlobalX CEO Ed Wegel said “We are honoured to fly for TUI fly Netherlands, part of TUI, Europe’s largest travel company and one of the great airlines of Europe. We greatly appreciate their confidence in us to fly their valued customers to their vacations. We expect to grow as a company by watching and learning from the best practices of TUI fly Netherlands in their daily operations as well.”
