AerCap Leased, Purchased and Sold 81 Aircraft in the First Quarter 2019 AerCap announced its major business transactions during the first quarter 2019. The lessor signed lease agreements for 43 aircraft, purchased 17 aircraft and executed sale transactions for 21 aircraft and signed financing transactions for $1.9 billion. Arctic Aviation Assets reaches agreement with Airbus for rescheduling part of A320neo and A321LR order book Arctic Aviation Assets (AAA) , a subsidiary of Norwegian announced 10 April it has reached an agreement with Airbus for the rescheduling of part of the order book, including both A320neos and A321LRs. The rescheduling is a result of a dialogue between the Company and Airbus the past months. The postponement is expected to reduce the Company’s capital expenditure commitments by approximately $570 million in total for 2019 and 2020. Avolon to Consider Senior Unsecured Notes Offering; Targeting Investment Grade Avolon announced 8 April that it will hold a series of fixed income investor calls commencing Tuesday, April 9th through Wednesday, April 10th. Avolon expects that one or more rating agencies may upgrade Avolon to investment grade upon the launch and pricing of such offering. Jackson Square Aviation Names New Chairman Jackson Square Aviation announced 5 April that Mr. Osamu (`Sam’) Muramoto will become the next Chairman of the aircraft-leasing company, effective June 1, 2019. Mr. Muramoto succeeds Mr. Naoki Sato, Managing Executive Officer of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Co. Ltd. (MUL), who has been Chairman of JSA since it was purchased by MUL in January 2013. NAC delivered one ATR 72-600, MSN 1259, to Regourd Aviation on lease Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) confirmed 10 April that it has delivered one ATR 72-600, MSN 1259, to Regourd Aviation on lease.
