Air India Group Showcases Upgraded Cabin Products at SATTE 2026

Air India and Air India Express presented their upgraded cabin products and refreshed onboard experiences at SATTE 2026, held from 25–27 February at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

Air India’s pavilion highlighted signature elements of its transformation journey, including bespoke Business Class seats on the Airbus A320neo and Premium Economy seats on the Airbus A350. The display focused on improved seat design, enhanced cabin aesthetics, contemporary finishes and upgraded onboard amenities. Visitors were also offered a virtual reality experience of the Airbus A350 cabin.

Air India Express marked its inaugural participation at SATTE by showcasing its expanding network of 45 domestic and 17 international destinations. The airline highlighted its line-fit Boeing 737-8 aircraft with upgraded cabin interiors and its ‘Gourmair’ hot meal offerings through interactive displays.

 

Akasa Air Signs Inaugural Global Distribution Agreement with Travelport

Akasa Air entered into a long-term content distribution agreement with Travelport, making Travelport the first global distribution system (GDS) to partner with the airline. Under the agreement, Akasa’s content will be accessible via the Travelport+ platform to travel agents worldwide.

The partnership supports Akasa’s strategy to expand its ancillary revenue ecosystem and strengthen global distribution capabilities, while enhancing its commercial reach as it scales operations.

 

IndiGo Expands Regional Connectivity from Navi Mumbai

IndiGo announced new direct ATR72-600 routes from Navi Mumbai International Airport to Ahmedabad, Diu, Goa, Rajkot, Belgaum and Kolhapur, effective 29 March 2026.

The expansion strengthens regional connectivity between tier-2 and tier-3 cities and major hubs, reinforcing IndiGo’s role in driving regional aviation growth and supporting local tourism and economic activity.
