Air Canada to Acquire Airbus A350-1000 Widebody Aircraft

Air Canada announced the next phase of its fleet modernisation programme with an order for eight Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, alongside purchase rights for eight additional units. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2030. The aircraft will enhance Air Canada’s long-haul capabilities, offering extended range, higher payload capacity and improved operating economics as the carrier strengthens its global network strategy.

 

Frontier Announces Fleet Optimization Transaction with AerCap

Frontier Airlines announced a non-binding agreement with AerCap for the early return of 24 A320neo aircraft, with lease expirations ranging from two to eight years. The returns are expected to conclude in the second quarter of 2026. In parallel, AerCap will execute 10 future sale-leaseback transactions for aircraft delivering in 2028 and 2029. The agreement forms part of Frontier’s broader strategy to right-size its fleet and improve productivity while maintaining AerCap as a key leasing partner.

 

Natilus Unveils Enhancements to HORIZON EVO Passenger Aircraft

Natilus announced significant design updates to its HORIZON EVO passenger aircraft as it progresses toward FAA certification. Following regulatory and customer feedback, the aircraft has evolved from a single-deck to a dual-deck configuration, aimed at improving operational practicality, passenger experience and certification readiness. The hyper-efficient aircraft is targeting entry into commercial service in the early 2030s.
