Avolon finalizes Airbus A330neo order

AviLease announces acquisition of Standard Chartered

AviLease announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the aircraft leasing business of Standard Chartered, including Dublin-based Pembroke Group. AviLease will acquire a portfolio of 100 narrow body aircraft while also becoming servicer for another 22 aircraft as part of the $3.6 billion acquisition. AviLease CEO Edward O'Byrne, said “This acquisition is a fantastic next step in AviLease’s young existence. We are purchasing a very high-quality portfolio of narrow body aircraft on lease to top-tier airlines globally. The transaction accelerates the scale-up and lessee diversification of our fleet, demonstrating our ability to execute on our investment strategy.
“Equally important is the ability for us to combine forces and leverage the high-quality capabilities of the Standard Chartered platform. We have the ambition to become a top-10 global aircraft lessor and this acquisition brings us one step closer.”

 

Avolon finalizes Airbus A330neo order

Avolon announced signature a binding agreement for its order of 20 new A330neo aircraft from Airbus, firming up a memorandum of understanding signed at the Paris Airshow in June, the aircraft will be delivered between 2025 and 2028. Avolon will also convert 50 A320neo’s on order to A321neo’s. Avolon CEO Andy Cronin said “We see a high level of widebody demand within the delivery window for these aircraft. With our existing widebody pipeline already placed, these new aircraft will support our future growth plans and allow us to provide options for carriers looking to replace older A330ceo aircraft with the more fuel efficient A330neo. The order builds on our strong relationship with Airbus as a launch customer for the A330neo, and our position as the leading lessor for this aircraft type.”

 

KLM leases two A321Neo’s from CDB Aviation

Dublin based aircraft lessor CDB Aviation announced signature of lease agreements for three new Airbus A321neo aircraft with KLM Airlines for delivery in September and November 2024 powered by CFM LEAP-1A30 engines. CDB Aviation’s Chief Commercial Officer Peter Goodman, said “We are thrilled to be expanding our long-standing relationship with KLM through the addition of these brand new A321neos to their fleet on operating lease. These next generation aircraft offer the best performance in their category for the group’s network needs, benefiting from the latest technological innovations.”

 

Falko Delivers two Embraer E190 Aircraft to Airlink

Falko Regional Aircraft announced the delivery of two Embraer E190 aircraft, MSN  19000147 and 19000150 on lease to South African carrier Airlink. Falko Chief Commercial Officer Mark Hughes said “Falko is delighted to announce the delivery of these two E190 aircraft to South Africa’s leading airline, Airlink. The latest deliveries further cements Falko’s longstanding relationship with Airlink which incredibly spans more than two decades”
