Amerijet to phase out Boeing 757-200F’s focus on 767 operations

Amerijet International Airlines announced that it has completed a successful financial & operational restructuring to enhance the capital structure and support go-forward operations. The consensual restructuring transaction including the return of six Boeing 757 aircraft to lessors, modifications to our go-forward obligations on the Boeing 767 fleet, and a $55 million capital infusion from its existing lenders. Amerijet CEO Joe Mozzali said “With this restructuring, Amerijet is now in a stronger operating and financial position to serve its customers for the long term with the quality of service they have come to expect. The current air cargo environment demands agility and disciplined operational excellence. This definitive action will protect our position as the cargo carrier of choice in our markets.”

 

Canada Jetlines Doubles Fleet

Canada Jetlines announced the addition of a new A320-214 aircraft (MSN 5661) to its fleet which is expected to enter service by end of FY24Q1. Canada Jetlines CEO Eddy Doyle stated, "We are pleased with our strong start to the year as we execute our growth strategy. Canada Jetlines is pleased to announce the addition of a new A320-214 aircraft. By doubling our fleet, we are offer more traveller’s reliable and cost-effective options while adding value for our shareholders. We look forward to deploying this aircraft to serve multiple routes, expanding our reach, and serving the growing leisure travel market."

 

New Boeing 777F delivered to Atlas Air

Atlas Air announced it has taken delivery of a Boeing 777 Freighter, which it will operate on behalf of its customer MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA on ACMI operation, increasing its fleet to four aircraft. Atlas Air Worldwide Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Sustainability Richard Broekman said “The delivery of this fourth 777 Freighter that we are operating for MSC marks an incredibly exciting milestone of our long-term strategic partnership. We value our partnership and look forward to building upon our relationship with MSC as the company continues to grow its air cargo solution for its customers.”
