Cathay Pacific Airways launches new premium travel lifestyle brand Cathay

Cathay Pacific Airways announced the launch of its new premium travel lifestyle brand Cathay across global markets, powered by new campaign titled ‘Feels Good To Move’. The carrier stated the brand evolution into a premium travel lifestyle brand consisting of a host of complementary travel related categories dining, holidays, payment, retail, and wellness. Cathay Pacific General Manager of Brand, Insights and Marketing Communications Edward Bell said “This campaign goes straight to the heart of why Cathay exists as a premium travel lifestyle brand – a brand that aims to enable us to live the premium travel lifestyle, every day. Since our beginnings, Cathay has always been about forward progress. Restlessness is in our DNA. This campaign is a celebration of how good it feels to move.”

 

CDB Aviation leases two Airbus A321neo’s to KLM Airlines

CDB Aviation announced signature of lease agreements for three new Airbus A321neo aircraft with KLM Airlines for delivery in September and November 2024 powered by CFM LEAP-1A30 engines. CDB Aviation’s Chief Commercial Officer Peter Goodman, said “We are thrilled to be expanding our long-standing relationship with KLM through the addition of these brand new A321neos to their fleet on operating lease. These next generation aircraft offer the best performance in their category for the group’s network needs, benefiting from the latest technological innovations.”

 

China Eastern Airlines to resume Shanghai to Brisbane route

China Eastern Airlines announced its to resume Shanghai to Brisbane route effective from 29th October initially operating three times weekly, increasing to a daily service from 8th December. The route will be operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The service is forecast to generate $314 million for Queensland’s visitor economy over three years and support up to 1,270 Queensland jobs. The deal is the 26th international connection secured by the Attracting Aviation Investment Fund, a joint Queensland Government, and airports initiative. China Eastern Airlines Oceania General Manager Jim Young said “We, the Queensland Government, and Brisbane Airport align with a shared value and vision in our commitment to reintroducing this route in 2023. Our non-stop flight to and from Brisbane will further substantiate Shanghai as an exceptional hub for both business and leisure travellers to destinations cross China and beyond on a global scale.” 

 

Hainan Airlines launches Shenzhen to Milan route

Hainan Airlines launched a new route Shenzhen and Milan Malpensa operating three times weekly served by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. China is an important market for Malpensa. In 2019 prior to the pandemic  700,000 passengers travelled from Milan Malpensa to and from China. The route becomes the carrier’s third route to Italy, after Chongqing and Shenzhen to Rome.
