Cathay Pacific Airways announced it is to reinstate Hong Kong to Barcelona route on a seasonal basis from 17 June to 26 October operating three times weekly using three class Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

China Eastern Airlines to trial Shanghai-Perth route

China Eastern Airlines announced it is to trial Shanghai-Perth route from 19 January to 17 February 2024 operating three weekly flights using Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The initiative is the result of collaboration involving Perth Airport, Tourism WA, and the State Government.

Hong Kong air traffic recovery continues in 2023

In 2023, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) witnessed a continued recovery in air traffic, reaching new post-pandemic heights in December. According to figures released by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) reveal that throughout the year, HKIA handled 40 million passengers and 276,000 flight movements, marking increases of approximately 600% and 100% versus 2022.
