CAAC says airport travel market is recovering in China China's Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) forecasts recovery for the domestic air travel market. Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Deputy Director, Department of Transport Xu Qing stated "We encourage airlines to adjust their transport capacity accordingly to meet the need of air travel. As of January 10th, the CAAC and its local branches had authorized 200-thousand more flights on basis of 580-thousand flights for the Spring Festival Travel Rush." CDB Aviation names new China head of commercial CDB Aviation announced the appointment of Michelle Wu as Head of Commercial, Greater China.  CDB Aviation Chief Marketing Officer Peter Goodman said “Michelle is a seasoned aviation executive, well versed in anticipating and addressing the critical needs of airlines and leveraging market opportunities to stimulate growth, who will further entrench our comprehensive coverage within the Chinese market.” China Airlines Cargo claims 2021 was record year China Airlines switched to a cargo-centric business model that put its fleet of 21 freighters to full use the key highlights include making over 100 cargo charter flights in one month, surpassing TWD15.4 billion in single-month cargo revenues in December, exceeding TWD10 billion in cargo revenues for five consecutive months, and sweeping past TWD100 billion in cargo revenues for the entire year. Tanzania launches Chinese financed project to enhance civil aviation safety The Tanzanian government launched the enhancement of the civil aviation safety oversight systems project financed by the Chinese government for $1 million. The Chinese government through its South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund (SSCAF) provided the grant to finance the project to be implemented for one year by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) through its Technical Cooperation Bureau.
