China Southern plans Wuhan-London service China Southern Airlines looks set to add a second nonstop route to London later this year, with flights from the central Chinese city of Wuhan. Small Chinese Airlines Could Lose Subsidies In Policy Change According to Aviation Week (16 February) China’s smaller airlines are facing a loss of municipal subsidies on domestic routes under a contemplated policy change that would force commercial air transport capacity to the west of the country. The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is considering cancellation of poorly patronized services in the east of the country, say two sources from Chinese airlines. Thales to boost Guangzhou airspace efficiency The Middle South Regional Air Traffic Management Bureau of Civil Aviation of China and Thales have agreed to establish a main air traffic control centre to monitor the entire Guangzhou Terminal Maneuvering Area (TMA). The TMA comprises three of the busiest airports in China, including Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, China’s second busiest airport, serving over 80 million passengers a year and around 1300 air traffic movements per day. Two more China-made aircraft arrive in Nepal Two new Chinese aircraft procured by Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) from China landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. According to NAC, two Harbin Y 12-e aircraft landed at the TIA on Tuesday afternoon at the interval of half an hour.  The two 17-seater aircraft are a part of grant and loan agreement that Nepal has signed with China to procure six aircraft - two MA 60s and four Harbin Y 12-e aircraft. Of them, one MA 60 and one Harbin Y 12-e were received on grant, while China has arranged concessional loan to purchase on MA 60 and three Harbin Y 12-e aircraft.
