Airbus A350-900 Reliable In Service, Says China Airlines The Airbus A350-900 is performing reliably in service with new operator China Airlines and is well supported by its airframe and engine manufacturers, the Taiwan-based carrier says reported Aviation Week. CDB Aviation Lease Finance Delivers First of Three 737-800s to Urumqi Air CDB Aviation Lease Finance DAC wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited on 17 August delivered the first of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Urumqi Air, a Chinese low-cost carrier based at Urumqi Diwopu International Airport. "We are very delighted to begin delivery of three 737-800s to Urumqi Air and welcome the airline as our new lessee customer,” said CDB Aviation President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Chang. "We look forward to supporting the expansion of their all-Boeing 737 aircraft fleet and their domestic and regional services to meet the growing demand for air travel in Xinjiang.” China and Mongolia Work To Expand Route Development The Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Civil Aviation Administration of China on increasing cross-border air routes during the International Civil Aviation Organization’s August 7 to 11 Conference of Asia-Pacific DGCAs in Ulaanbaatar. Speaking at the conference, Mongolia’s CAA chairman, Byambasuren Luvsansambuu, noted that increasing the number of airways would help lift the traffic burden on an underdeveloped route structure. Chinese carriers now account for 27 percent of all flights through Mongolia. Dublin to Beijing direct flights about to become reality Chinese airline Hainan is close to deciding on whether to open a route from Dublin to Beijing in what would be Ireland’s first direct link to Asia’s biggest economy. The Sunday Independent reported yesterday that negotiations have been taking place between the airline and Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) and the airline is close to finalising a schedule for the flights. The flight will operate on alternate days to Dublin and Edinburgh in Scotland which has added complexity to the scheduling and slot negotiations. Russia and China hold air services talks, agree to more liberalization Russian Aviation Authority Civil Aviation Working Group and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) reported details of their meeting held during July. The talks agreed that on the basis of reciprocity, designated airlines may operate 'open-jaw' scheduled passenger and combination services on no more than 38 routes, provided that each sector shall be counted as a half frequency against the frequency entitlements on the specified routes.
