Bell's Singapore Center Gets CAAC Approval Bell’s Singapore service center has received Civil Aviation Administration of China approval for the Bell 206, 407, and 429, allowing it to conduct maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on the helicopters’ components, engines, instruments, and radios. About 150 Bell helicopters are based in China, consisting of mainly of 40 Bell 206s, 78 Bell 407s, and 17 Bell 429s. CDB Aviation Promotes Patrick Hannigan to President CDB Aviation announced 22 January the promotion of Patrick C. The new airport will undergo further testing of its communications, navigations, and surveillance and air traffic management systems before opening on 30 September. IATA: China to reach 1.6 billion passengers by 2037 The International Air Transport Association (IATA) recently published its 20-Year Air Passenger Forecast shows that China will displace the United States as the world's largest aviation market in the mid-2020s and reach 1.6 billion passengers by 2037. The rebalancing of China's economy towards consumption will support strong passenger demand over the long term, said. IATA's CEO & DG Alexandre de Juniac said “The global civil aviation market has shown an apparent eastward shift to Asia, with China as the major impetus.
