Airbus woos China with A380 industrial partnership offer Airbus is offering an industrial partnership with China on the A380 if Chinese airlines place orders for the world’s largest passenger jet, whose future is in doubt unless it wins new customers.  Fabrice Brégier, Airbus’s outgoing chief operating officer, will hold early-stage discussions on the subject when he heads to China on Monday as part of a trade mission accompanying French president Emmanuel Macron on his first state visit to the country. BOC Aviation Delivers fifth Airbus A320 to Zhejiang Loong Airlines BOC Aviation announced 4 January the delivery of the fifth of five Airbus A320-200 aircraft to Zhejiang Loong Airlines. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book. CALC purchases 15 additional A320neo aircraft  China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings announced 5 January an order for 15 additional A320neo aircraft, with the similar terms and conditions under the aircraft purchase agreement signed with Airbus on 28 December, bringing the lessor's order with Airbus to 217 aircraft. The aggregate list price for the additional aircraft is approximately USD1.63 billion. The A320neo aircraft are scheduled for delivery in stages between 2022 and 2023. CALC Strikes Deal With Viva For Airbus A320s China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) has concluded a purchase-and-leaseback agreement with Latin American LCC group Viva Air for five Airbus A320ceo aircraft. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2018 and 2019 according to Aviation Week. China’s AG600 amphibious aircraft makes maiden flight China’s indigenously built AG600 amphibian has made its maiden flight. The four-turboprop aircraft took off on 24 December 2017 from Jinwan Airport in Zhuhai, near Macau, and flew for about an hour, according to Chinese state media. First rolled out by manufacturer Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) in July 2017 at a production facility in Zhuhai, the AG600 is slightly larger than the previous ‘flying boat’ built in China, the Harbin SH-5. With a wing span of 38.8 m and a length of 37 m, it is also the third large aircraft designed and built in the country. Chinese airlines soar on fare price liberalization Chinese airlines will be able to set their own prices on more than 300 routes after the aviation regulator further liberalized fees in a major step forward for reform of the world’s fastest-growing civil aviation market. The Civil Aviation Administration of China said that it would allow airlines to decide their own prices on domestic routes that have at least five carriers competing. Price increases of no more than 10% would be allowed for each travel season. Diamond Aircraft acquired by China’s Wanfeng Aviation Chinese company Wanfeng Aviation Group announced on 22 December that it had acquired Austria’s Diamond Aircraft.Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Wanfeng Aviation Group is a subsidiary of Wanfeng Auto Holding Group. In a statement, Wanfeng Aviation said it would continue to invest in research and development efforts in the company’s Austrian base, including the Dart aerobatic trainer and Diamond DA50 single-engine composite aircraft.
