Air Lease Corporation Announces Lease Placement of New Boeing 787 Dreamliner with Aeromexico Air Lease Corporation announced a long term lease agreement with Aeromexico for one new Boeing 787-9 aircraft with General Electric engines. The aircraft is from ALC's order book with Boeing and is scheduled for delivery in June 2018. Cello Air Finance launches business aircraft lease sector focusing on Middle East Newly created London based aircraft lessor Cello Air Finance has launched into the developing business aircraft leasing sector. Cello’s primary focuses on providing operating leases for business aircraft and utility aircraft within the US / North American, European and the Middle East markets. Cello Air Finance’s parent company the Gill Group acquired a majority shareholding in the company as a result of its acquisition of Rubicon Air Finance and completed the rebranding to sit alongside its existing VIP charter operations ‘Cello Aviation’. The Gill Group has a successful track record in investments in business aviation and is the parent company of established UK VIP charter operator and sister company Cello Aviation. Hong Kong’s proposed dedicated tax regime for offshore aircraft leasing The Hong Kong Government has put forward a proposal to amend its tax laws to establish a dedicated tax regime for aircraft owners/lessors based in Hong Kong and leasing to offshore (including PRC) lessees/airlines. Qatar Airways to lease A350 aircraft from LATAM Qatar Airways is leasing four A350 aircraft from LATAM. The four A350 aircraft are in LATAM livery and have a LATAM seating configuration of 30 Business Class seats and 309 Economy Class seats. Qatar Airways-configured A350s offer 36 seats in Business Class and 247 seats in Economy Class. Yamal sharply expands its SSJ 100 fleet Russian regional carrier Yamal Airlines has completed acceptance procedures for a batch of six Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) aircraft leased through GTLK State Transport Leasing Company.
