AAI gives height clearance for new Air Traffic Control Tower at Tiruchi airport The Airports Authority of India has given height clearance for the proposed new Technical Block- cum-Air Traffic Control Tower at the Tiruchi International Airport. The clearance has been given for 46 metres height for the proposed structure which would be taller than the new integrated passenger terminal building that is under construction at present. Air travel between India-UK to resume partially from 8th January Flights between India and the United Kingdom (UK) will resume from 8th January, announced civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri. To comply with stringent protocols, India and UK carriers will be each operating 15 flights per week to and from four metros cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. “It has been decided that flights between India and UK will resume from January 8, 2021. Operations till January 23, 2021, will be restricted to 15 flights per week each for carriers of the two countries to and from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru & Hyderabad only. DGCA will issue the details shortly,” aviation minister H S Puri said in a tweet. Flybig India's newest airline to begin operations The first week of 2021 will see the Indian aviation industry get its newest airline Flybig, which will begin operations. The inaugural flight will take off from Indore, the airline's base to Ahmedabad operated by an ATR72 aircraft. From the 1st of February the airline will commence flying from Ahmedabad to Bhopal and by the end of March the carrier will have daily flights connecting all the three tier-2 cities and plans to add a second ATR72. India makes first India-Nigeria air bubble flight India has made its first direct India-Nigeria Air Bubble flight to Nigeria on 1st January. This was disclosed by the High Commission of India, Abuja via its Twitter handle on Saturday. The flight, which was conducted by Air Peace Airline, had 535 passengers on board. IndiGo rolling out daily Indore-Kochi ​flight ​via Chennai from 5th​ January Indore is to get new connectivity​ with a new route to Kerala from 5t January.
