Akasa Air Increases Boeing 737-8 order book

Akasa Air announced an order for four additional Boeing 737-8 aircraft, increasing the carrier's order book to 76 aircraft, which include 23 737-8s and 53 high-capacity 737-8-200 aircraft. Akasa Air CEO & Founder said “We are excited to add four more Boeing 737-8 to support our international expansion, taking our initial order of 72 aircraft to 76 to be delivered in the next four years. We are also on track to finalize another significant three-digit aircraft order and will be ready to announce it before the end of the calendar year”.

 

IndiGo Bolsters Mumbai Hub

IndiGo announced it a significant capacity increase at its Mumbai Hub operating a total of 175 weekly flights effective from 1st July adding an new route to Durgapur and reinstating route to Kannur. In addition the carrier has introduced additional frequencies on routes to Amritsar, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jammu, Leh, Nagpur, Ranchi, Srinagar, and Varanasi. IndiGo Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra said, “We are pleased to announce these frequency additions, which will further aid trade and commerce. India’s commercial capital, Mumbai, is also a popular tourist destination, offering a diverse selection of attractions and experiences. Increased accessibility will also support Maharashtra government’s vision to make Mumbai a tourist hub and spur job creation. We strongly believe that increased accessibility contributes to economic growth and will continue to offer more flight options to our customers across an unparalleled network.”

 

Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru announces new service BLR Pulse

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), the operator of BLR Airport, in collaboration with GrayMatter Software Services, has created 'BLR Pulse', an omnichannel platform. The multiple featured APP offers real-time updates on entire passenger experience touchpoints. MD & CEO of Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) Hari Marar said, “Travelling through BLR Airport gets more seamless with the BLR Pulse app. The objective is to help passengers plan their travel on the go even before they reach the Airport. We value our passengers’ time and needs, and hence this app comes as a one-tap solution. Through BLR Pulse, we are connecting the physical and digital worlds to create a 'Phygital' environment that will provide passengers and visitors with a unique interactive experience. Vistara carries 50 million passengers

Vistara announced achievement of carrying ng 50 million customers in eight years of operations. Vistara operates a fleet of 61 aircraft  including 46 Airbus A320neo, 10 Airbus A321, 1 Boeing 737-800 and 4 Boeing 787-9’s to 32 domestic destinations and 15 international destinations.
