AerCap Delivers a New Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Air New Zealand AerCap has announced the delivery of a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on long-term operating lease to Air New Zealand. This is the first new 787-9 aircraft to deliver to Air New Zealand from AerCap's order book with Boeing. AerCap is the world's largest lessor of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with 117 aircraft owned, managed and on order. AMCK Aviation launches following integration of Accipiter and MCAP leasing platforms The merger between Japan’s MCAP and Ireland’s Accipiter has resulted in the launch of AMCK Aviation 30 October. CK Asset Holdings has taken a 50% stake with Li Ka Shing (Overseas) Foundation taking 10% and Mitsubishi Corporation holding 40%, according to a statement. With a value of $6 billion, AMCK Aviation has 145 aircraft with an average age of 5.8 years at 30 October. The lessor also has commitments for an additional 30 jets, including an order with Airbus for 20 A320neos that Accipiter placed in March. BBAM and GE Aviation Sign Asset Transfer System Agreement for Leasing Market GE Aviation has teamed up with BBAM Aircraft Leasing & Management to provide the AirVault Asset Transfer System across a fleet of 510 aircraft including Airbus, Boeing and Embraer airplanes used by more than 90 airlines. The implementation is starting this month. BBAM will start using the system by December 2019, followed by a six-month evaluation. CDB Aviation Begins Deliveries of A320neo Aircraft to Bamboo Airways CDB Aviation announced the signing of a lease agreement for three new Airbus A320-200neo aircraft with Vietnam’s new start-up carrier, Bamboo Airways. CDB Aviation is the first aircraft leasing company to lease new aircraft to the carrier. The agreement also signifies the addition of the lessor’s first airline customer in Vietnam, as the company continues to expand aggressively its customer footprint in Asia Pacific. Fly Leasing Reports Third Quarter 2019 Financial Results Fly Leasing announced 8 November its financial results for the third quarter of 2019. "FLY continued to produce excellent results in the third quarter, with Adjusted Net Income of nearly $60 million, or $1.93 per share," said Colm Barrington, FLY's Chief Executive Officer. "This was our sixth straight quarter of double-digit ROE, with Adjusted Return on Equity of over 30%. In the nine months ended September 30, FLY produced Adjusted Net Income of $168.9 million, or $5.28 per share. Looking ahead, we expect another strong result in the fourth quarter." "The aircraft sales in the quarter were completed at a 17% premium to book value, again demonstrating the value embedded in FLY's fleet," said Barrington. "Our strong results are also adding significantly to shareholders' equity, which is now nearly $26 per share, an increase of 20% from the beginning of the year." Greg Conlon appointed President & CEO of GECAS, Alec Burger assumes Chairman Role Greg Conlon has been promoted to the role of President and CEO of GECAS, effective immediately. Alec Burger will continue as President & CEO of GE Capital and will also serve as the Chairman of GECAS. This change in leadership is being done to ensure the continued strength and health of GECAS, with Greg being fully dedicated to leading the GECAS business with Alec’s continued engagement as Chairman. “Greg is an experienced leader with deep and positive relationships across the industry and GE, and a personal track record of performance. It’s my distinct pleasure to promote such a great GE leader to the helm of GECAS.” noted Alec Burger. “It has been and will continue to be a privilege to be a part of GECAS, however now is right time in the evolution of GECAS to have Greg as the dedicated leader of the business.
