AerCap and Egyptair Reach Agreement on the Lease of 15 Airbus A320neo Aircraft AerCap and Egyptair announced 15 November they have reached agreement on the long-term operating lease of 15 Airbus A320neo aircraft, powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engine. These aircraft are from AerCap’s order book with Airbus and are scheduled to deliver in 2020. AerCap is the world’s largest lessor of the A320neo Family, with 220 owned and on order. AerCap and Egyptair Reach Agreement on the Lease of 6 Boeing 787-9 Aircraft AerCap and Egyptair announced 15 November they have reached agreement on the long-term operating lease of six Boeing 787-9 aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce engines. These aircraft are from AerCap’s order book with Boeing and are scheduled to deliver in 2019. AerCap is the world’s largest customer of the 787 aircraft, with a total of 116 owned and on order. Bombardier has signed an order for two new Q400 turboprops with Nordic Aviation Capital Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced 15 November that it concluded a firm purchase agreement for two new Q400 turboprops with Nordic Aviation Capital in September 2017. NAC will lease these two Q400 aircraft to Jambojet Ltd, based in Nairobi, Kenya. With the addition of these aircraft, NAC has increased its Q400 portfolio to 87 aircraft, and remains the largest fleet owner and lessor of the type in the world. CDB Aviation Confirms Order With Airbus For 90 A320neo Family Aircraft CDB Aviation announced 15 November that it has confirmed an order for 90 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft during the 2017 Dubai Airshow. The lessor’s order book now comprises a total of 90 A320neo Family aircraft, including 32 A321neo and 58 A320neo aircraft. The agreement was reached in two steps: an original purchase agreement signed in 2014 for 45 A320neo Family aircraft, which remained undisclosed to date; and the firming up of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for an additional 30 A320neo and 15 A321neo aircraft announced at the Le Bourget Paris Airshow in June 2017. Milestone Aviation and Leonardo to provide 3 AW169s to Falcon Aviation Milestone Aviation Group and Leonardo announced on 13 November that Falcon Aviation of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) will expand its Leonardo AW169 helicopter fleet with the addition of a further three aircraft.
