AerCap Delivers 777-200ER to Nordwind Airlines AerCap announced 18 April the delivery of the first of two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft to Russian carrier, Nordwind Airlines, LLC. The Boeing 777-200ER, powered by GE engines, was manufactured in 2006. AerCap President and Chief Commercial Officer Philip Scruggs said, “We are pleased to support Nordwind Airlines with their fleet expansion plan. The addition of the 777-200ER will allow the airline scale up capacity in response to increasing demand on key domestic and internationals routes. We wish our partners at Nordwind Airlines continued success.” GECAS Delivers Primera its First Airbus A321neo Primera Air has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo, on lease from GECAS. This aircraft is the first of three from the GECAS orderbook that Airbus will deliver to the airline in 2018. “GECAS is delighted to be delivering Primera’s first new A321neo today,” declared GECAS Senior Vice President - Sales, Felix McArdle. “We have been partnering with them on fleet solutions for 11 years now and this latest delivery of the ground-breaking A321neo with LEAP engines is the latest chapter and a very important development for Primera. We wish them every success with the operation.” GECAS takes delivery of the first 737-800 BCF GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) took delivery of the first 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) on 18 April which will be operated by West Atlantic Group, based in Sweden. West Atlantic will receive four 737-800 aircraft within the next 11 months and, once delivered, the company will operate 23 Boeing 737 freighter aircraft.  “We are very proud to be the launch customer for the 737-800 BCF, and pleased to supply this inaugural aircraft to West Atlantic,” said Richard Greener, GECAS’ Senior Vice President & Manager, Cargo Aircraft Group. “This freighter type is an important complement to our portfolio as we support our customers across expanding air cargo markets.” NAC delivered one Embraer E195, MSN 19000382, to LOT Polish Airlines on lease Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced 16 April the delivery of one Embraer E195, MSN 19000382, to LOT Polish Airlines on lease. This is the first aircraft to deliver as part of a six-aircraft lease agreement. NAC sold one ATR 72-500, MSN 499, to a private investment company advised by AELIS Group Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced 16 April that it has sold one ATR 72-500, MSN 499, to Heritaviation II, a private investment company that specialises in aircraft conversions and tear downs. AELIS Group advised and facilitated the transaction on behalf of Heritaviation II. SMBC Aviation Capital concludes eight aircraft portfolio sale to Genesis Aircraft Services SMBC Aviation Capital and Genesis Aircraft Services Limited, announced 18 April the conclusion of the sale of an eight (8) narrow body aircraft portfolio to Genesis. The portfolio is made up of four aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital’s owned fleet, and four from its managed fleet, comprising of narrow body Airbus and Boeing aircraft on lease to 6 airlines. Cian Mackey, Chief Operating & Financial Officer at Genesis commented, “We are delighted to add these aircraft to our portfolio which is in line with our stated objective which is to expand our aviation platform to create a best-in-class leasing company”.
