Ashland Place Announces Financing of Two Boeing 737-800s and Three Airbus A320-200s for Sirius Aviation Capital Ashland Place and Sirius Aviation Capital announced the successful financing of two Boeing 737-800s and three Airbus A320-200s. The two Boeing aircraft are on lease to SunExpress (Güneş Ekspress Havacılık A.Ş) in Turkey while the Airbus aircraft are on lease to All-Nippon Airways/Peach Aviation in Japan, Iberia Líneas Aéreas de España in Spain and Volaris in Mexico. Sirius' Chief Financial Officer Kieran Ryan said "We are delighted to announce the financing of these aircraft with Ashland Place. Both firms have an established track record of success in the sector and we are confident that this transaction is just the beginning of a beneficial partnership”. CDB Aviation Promotes Fiona Scott to Newly Created Role of Chief People Officer CDB Aviation announced the promotion of Fiona Scott to the newly created role of Chief People Officer. Flybe is now operating the first of five Aergo Capital Q400s under long-term leases Flybe Ltd is now operating the first of five Aergo Capital De Havilland-Canada Q400 aircraft under long-term leases that will enable the airline to continue growing its planned fleet to a total of 32 aircraft over the next few years. Aergo Capital CEO Fred Browne stated “Aergo is delighted to successfully complete the delivery of the first Q400 to Flybe. We are pleased this delivery will help Flybe reach their environmental sustainability objectives and we look forward to delivering the remaining aircraft as we continue building our relationship with Flybe.” Griffin Global Asset Management Announces the Mandate for Purchase and Leaseback of Five Boeing 737-8 MAX Aircraft with Akasa Air Griffin Global Asset Management announced the mandate for purchase and leaseback of five Boeing 737-8 aircraft with Akasa Air, a new airline based in India. The aircraft deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2022 and will include Akasa Air’s first several aircraft. Griffin CEO Ryan McKenna said “We were introduced to Akasa Air’s management team over a year ago and have watched with excitement as they skillfully built the airline from the ground up. We are honored to enter into this long-term relationship right from Akasa’s launch. They have developed a business strategy that addresses a need in the market and assembled a very impressive team to execute that plan.” SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Boeing 737-8 MAX to Swoop SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one (1) Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft (MSN 63976) equipped with two (2) CFM LEAP engines to Swoop (a wholly-owned subsidiary of WestJet).
