ALAFCO and SMBC Aviation Capital conclude A350 transaction SMBC Aviation Capital announced 21 Feburayr that it has acquired a new Airbus A350-900 (MSN 0185) from Kuwaiti based lessor, ALAFCO which has been delivered to Bangkok-based airline, Thai Airways. The three-way transaction was completed at the Airbus facility in Toulouse and is part of a two A350 aircraft deal, the second of which will be delivered to Thai Airways in March 2018 , both aircraft will be fitted with Rolls Royce Trent XWB-84 engines. Avolon delivers one Boeing B787-9 to Air Europa Avolon announced 1st March the delivery of one Airbus Boeing B787-9 aircraft to Air Europa last month. This is the fifth Avolon aircraft on lease to Air Europa. Fly Leasing to Acquire Major Aircraft Portfolio Fly Leasing announced 28 February that it has entered into a definitive agreement with AirAsia and its subsidiary, Asia Aviation Capital Limited under which FLY will acquire 54 Airbus narrowbody aircraft and seven CFM engines on lease to AAB and its affiliates, and one Airbus narrowbody aircraft on lease to a third-party airline. In addition, FLY will acquire the option to purchase an additional 20 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, not subject to lease, which begin delivering from the manufacturer in 2019. NAC sold one Bombardier DHC8-103, MSN 310, to Widerøe Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) confirmed 21 February that it has sold one Bombardier DHC8-103, MSN 310, to Widerøe. PIA awards A320 and A319 bids to DAE and JSA Pakistan International Airlines published 21 February an evaluation report in regards to the outcome of its narrowbody tender issued in December 2017. Carrier to lease one A320 from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise and two A319s from Jackson Square Aviation. The expected delivery on the winning aircraft is by end of 2018, on six-year leases. TrueNoord closes financing facility for five Embraer E190-100 regional aircraft leased by KLM Cityhopper TrueNoord announced 28 February it has closed its term loan financing facility with Nord/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank for five Embraer E190 aircraft that it purchased from BOC Aviation in January with leases attached. This new group of five E190 aircraft operated regionally by KLM Cityhopper represents a significant investment for TrueNoord, and heralds the start of 2018’s highly targeted programme for their fleet under lease. Vallair announces delivery of a leased 737-400F to ASL Aviation Holdings (Ireland) Vallair announced 28 February the completion of the delivery of a Boeing 737-400F (MSN 26299) to ASL Aviation Holdings (Ireland). The aircraft recently went through a freighter conversion followed by a “C” Check with Integration Maintenance performed in the USA. The lease term is for 48 months with a 24-month extension option.
