Gol and Grupo Comporte Order 250 VA-X4 Zero Emissions Aircraft From Avolon Avolon announced a partnership with Gol, Brazil’s largest airline and Grupo Comporte, Brazil’s leading transport operator, to commercialise an eVTOL ride sharing platform in Brazil. Avolon, Gol and Grupo Comporte will collaborate to identify and target local partners, infrastructure and certification requirements across a range of commercial models, launching one of the world’s first eVTOL ride sharing businesses. As part of the agreement, Gol and Grupo Comporte has committed to purchase or lease up to 250 VA-X4 eVTOL aircraft. This announcement means Avolon already has commitments for over half of its order for 500 VA-X4 aircraft which was announced in June 2021. Montrose Global Completes Sale And Leaseback Of One Beechcraft King Air 300 Aircraft Montrose Global announced that it has arranged the sale and leaseback of one Beechcraft King Air 300 Aircraft with Asian Corporate Aviation Management (“ACAM”). ACAM is the largest privately owned full service Corporate Aviation Management company in South East Asia, based in Singapore. The aircraft will be utilised for flight calibration and inspection services for aircraft navigation systems, and is operated by ACAM on contracts with government entities and major airports. Seraph Aviation Group places one Boeing 737-800 with Joy Air in China Seraph Aviation Group announced that it has successfully placed one B737-800 with Joy Air. David Butler, Chief Executive, Seraph Aviation Group said “We are delighted to have secured Joy Air as a new airline customer and are proud of our achievement to deliver an aircraft into China during the Covid pandemic. We look forward to commencing a long and positive relationship with Joy Air and we wish the airline well as it introduces the aircraft into service this month.” SalamAir takes delivery of first of two A321NX from GECAS GECAS announced the delivery of the first of two A321NX aircraft to SalamAir with the arrival of one, MSN 10483, into Muscat, Oman from Hamburg. As announced in late 2019, GECAS is providing the two aircraft from its own skyline. GECAS’ SVP & Region Manager Michael O’Mahony stated “GECAS is pleased to deliver our first aircraft with SalamAir, one of the fastest growing low-cost carriers in the Middle East. These CFM LEAP-powered aircraft will assist in their expansion into locations in Asia and Europe.” SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Airbus A320neo to Aeroflot SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one (1) Airbus A320-251N aircraft (MSN 10525) to Aeroflot. Stratos completes freighter conversion on ex AirAsia X A330 and delivers to Geodis Stratos announced the delivery of an A330-300 converted freighter to GEODIS (France) on a long-term operating lease. The aircraft, 2006 vintage MSN713 was returned from Air Asia X through an early termination agreement in mid-2020 and converted to a full freighter. Stratos identified an early opportunity to repurpose the aircraft into a freighter at the onset of the Covid19 crisis, subsequently leasing the freighter to logistics giant GEODIS to enhance their own dedicated air network.
