Air Lease Corporation Announces the Election of a New Independent Director Air Lease Corporation announced the election of a new independent director to its Board of Directors (the “ALC Board”). Susan McCaw was elected to the ALC Board effective November 19, 2019, and will join the eight currently serving members. Her expertise will benefit our company and its shareholders greatly.” Air Wisconsin Airlines Announces New Pilot Contract Air Wisconsin Airlines announced that its pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), ratified a new three-year extension to the collective bargaining agreement by an overwhelming majority. The agreement will be implemented in the coming months in coordination with ALPA while certain provisions, including an initial wage rate increase, will take effect immediately. Additionally, the new agreement will continue to provide Air Wisconsin pilots with an unmatched combination of quality of life, work rules, benefits and pay. "We are pleased to come to an agreement with our pilot group that provides a solid future and accelerated career growth opportunities while recognizing and rewarding the contributions pilots make to our operation every day," said Christine Deister, Chief Executive Officer for Air Wisconsin Airlines. American Airlines: 20 New Routes for Summer 2020 American Airlines announced plans to launch an additional eight new domestic routes this summer, offering customers a total of 20 new seasonal routes in summer 2020. The new routes include service to Martha’s Vineyard (MVY) and Nantucket (ACK) in Massachusetts and new service from Jackson, Mississippi (JAN) and Des Moines, Iowa (DSM), to Miami (MIA), the airline’s gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean. “Every year, we evaluate our network and look to create more routes and serve unique destinations whether we’re entering new markets like Casablanca or adding more service to places like Traverse City, Michigan,” said Vasu Raja, American’s Senior Vice President of Network Strategy. “We continue to deliver the best network with the most options for our customers domestically and internationally during the most popular vacation time of the year.” JetBlue Appoints Vivek Sharma to Board of Directors JetBlue announced the appointment of Vivek Sharma to its board of directors. The independent director appointment is effective immediately, following unanimous approval by the company’s board of directors. JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes said “It’s exciting to bring Vivek to our board with his extensive background in applied technology and digital leadership,” said Joel Peterson, chairman of the JetBlue board. “Our customers, crewmembers and shareholders will benefit from his expertise and perspective as we continue to diversify and strengthen JetBlue’s business, in part through technology innovations. Vivek’s consumer digital and technology experience is the perfect complement to JetBlue’s disciplined growth strategy as we head into our 20th anniversary year and beyond,” Silver Airways and American Airlines Announce Codeshare Partnership Silver Airways and American Airlines have expanded their commercial relationship by introducing a codeshare partnership, providing customers of both airlines seamless connections between the carriers’ networks and enabling passengers to fly segments operated by both airlines under a single ticket. The codeshare offers customers of both airlines the ease and convenience of booking a single ticket with baggage transfer between the two airlines to a variety of Silver Airways destinations throughout the Caribbean, and travelers from Silver destinations can easily connect to American Airlines’ global network.
