Canada Jetlines Announces Arrival of First Aircraft in Canada Canada Jetlines announced that its first aircraft, an Airbus 320 registered under C-GCJL, landed at the Kitchener/Waterloo airport (CYKF) at 14:33 ET on Saturday February 26, 2022. The aircraft was flown from Shannon, Ireland where it recently underwent painting and interior refurbishing. The flight was operated by Captain Randy Howe (Canada Jetlines’ Chief Pilot) and Captain Colin Forrest, both pilots having recently completed their Canada Jetlines’ A320 pilot training and simulator check ride monitored by Transport Canada. Elix Aviation Delivers a Dash 8-300 to Universal Hydrogen (USA) Elix Aviation confirmed the delivery of one Dash 8-300, MSN 274, to Universal Hydrogen. This aircraft is the first delivery from Elix Aviation to Universal Hydrogen and will be used as their test aircraft in the development of its Hydrogen powerplant systems. Jetstream Aviation Capital delivers one Saab 340B(F) cargo aircraft to Castle Aviation Jetstream Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one Saab 340B(F) cargo aircraft to Castle Aviation of North Canton, Ohio on 23 February. The aircraft, serial number 340B-336, is the fourth of a multi-aircraft commitment between Jetstream and Castle and will be used for ad-hoc cargo charter and Castle's scheduled operations on behalf of a major international logistics integrator, The WestJet Group announces the appointment of Álex Cruz to its Board of Directors The WestJet Group announced the recent appointment of Alex Cruz to its Board of Directors. Chairman of the WestJet Group's Board of Directors Chris Burley stated "It is my pleasure to officially welcome Álex to the WestJet Group's Board at this moment in our history. Alex's impressive experience leading both full service and low-cost airlines make him an invaluable addition to our Board as the airline continues to improve its cost position to compete more vigorously with carriers of all sizes. Voyageur Aviation gains North American presence for Dash 8-400 EXCL Program with Waltzing Matilda Aviation Voyageur Aviation announced it has entered into an agreement to provide on-site inventory, component repair and overhaul and detailed service level support for the De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Dash 8-400 to Waltzing Matilda Aviation, under its Connect Airlines brand, through Voyageur's Exchange Component and Leasing ('EXCL') subscription program.
