Aviation Capital Group Announces Delivery of Fourth A220 to airBaltic Aviation Capital Group announced the delivery of one new Airbus A220-300 aircraft on long-term lease to airBaltic. This aircraft is ACG’s fourth A220 aircraft to be leased by ACG to airBaltic as part of a sale and leaseback transaction between ACG and the airline. Azorra takes delivery of its first new Airbus A220 Azorra announced that it has delivered one new Airbus A220-300, MSN 55129, on long-term lease to airBaltic. This aircraft is Azorra’s first A220 and the first of three new A220s to be delivered to airBaltic as part of a sale and leaseback transaction with Azorra. “We are delighted to take delivery of our first A220 and at the same time welcome airBaltic as a new Azorra customer”, said John Evans, Azorra’s Chief Executive Officer. “The A220’s superior economics and environmental efficiency make this aircraft an ideal fit for Azorra’s growing portfolio. We appreciate airBaltic’s trust in Azorra and we look forward to supporting their fleet needs.” Delta continues fleet renewal with 30 additional Airbus A321neos Delta announced its adding 30 incremental A321neo aircraft to its existing order book with Airbus. The carrier is converting purchase rights for the aircraft into firm orders under its existing A321neo purchase agreement with Airbus. It follows a similar transaction in April, when Delta and Airbus converted 25 A321neo purchase rights into firm orders and added 25 incremental A321neo options. Delta has purchase rights for an additional 70 A321neos. First Five-blade Airbus H145 Delivered in North America Canadian air ambulance operator Stars has become the first North American operator of the five-blade Airbus Helicopters H145 light twin. The five-blade H145 features a 330-pound useful load increase and simplified maintenance. It is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines and equipped with the Helionix digital avionics suite. Japan Airlines Signs CFM56-7B Services Agreement with GE Japan Airlines (JAL) signed a five-year TrueChoice Overhaul agreement to cover its CFM56-7B* engines that power its 48 Boeing 737-800 aircraft fleet. The TrueChoice Overhaul agreement covers the time and material required to overhaul more than 100 CFM56-7B engines. Kargo Xpress Ramps Up Capacity with Two 737-800BCF from GECAS GECAS has announced that it will lease two 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF) to M Jets International’s start-up, Kargo Xpress with two aircraft to be delivered in October 2021 and January 2022.
