Air Lease Corporation Announces Lease Placement of New Boeing 787-9 Aircraft with MIAT Mongolian Airlines Air Lease Corporation announced a long-term lease agreement with MIAT Mongolian Airlines for one new Boeing 787-9 aircraft.  This aircraft, scheduled to deliver to the airline in Spring 2021 from ALC’s order book with Boeing, will be the first 787-9 to operate in Mongolia as well as the first Dreamliner in MIAT Mongolian Airlines’ fleet.  “ALC is honored to announce this significant lease placement with MIAT Mongolian Airlines and be the first to introduce the airline to the Dreamliner,” said Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation.   “We are proud to support the national carrier as it expands its fleet with the most technologically advanced aircraft to connect Mongolia with the rest of the world.” Boeing-Embraer Strategic Partnership Taking Shape Boeing and Embraer continue to work closely together to establish their strategic partnership, positioning both companies to deliver greater value to airline customers and the flying public, and to accelerate growth in global aerospace markets. Since receiving approval for the partnership from Embraer shareholders in February this year, the companies have undertaken diligent planning for the creation of a joint venture made up of the commercial aircraft and services operations of Embraer. Boeing will own 80 percent of the new company, to be named Boeing Brasil – Commercial. Embraer will hold the remaining 20 percent. CAVU Aerospace Acquires Two Boeing 747-400 Aircraft CAVU Aerospace announced that it has acquired (2) Boeing ex United Airlines 747-400 aircraft, N104UA MSN 26902 and N116UA MSN 26908 for dismantle. The dismantling of the airframes has begun. KBRA Assigns Preliminary Ratings to MACH 1 Cayman Limited and MACH 1 USA LLC Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) assigns preliminary ratings to two series of notes issued by MACH 1 Cayman Limited and MACH 1 USA LLC. This transaction represents the second securitization for Aviation Capital Group. Proceeds from the sale of the Notes will be used to acquire 24 aircraft (the “Portfolio”) on lease to 19 lessees located in 15 countries South African Airways Announces Codeshare Expansion to New York with Air Seychelles South African Airways (SAA) and Air Seychelles announced a new code share agreement for customers traveling between New York and the Seychelles. Air Seychelles will add its “HM” code on SAA’s nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Johannesburg, South Africa and connecting flights between Johannesburg and Mahe, Seychelles operated by Air Seychelles will display the “SA” code. Viking Announces Unity Aviation Canada as Factory Endorsed Service Centre for Twin Otter Aircraft in the Americas Unity Aviation Canada Limited based in Airdrie, Alberta, is now a Factory Endorsed Service Centre (FESC) in the Americas for the Series 400 Twin Otter, manufactured by Viking Air Limited of Victoria, BC. Under Viking’s FESC Program, Unity Aviation will be providing authorized maintenance services, refurbishment, and warranty-related work on legacy de Havilland and Viking Series 400 Twin Otter aircraft. Wings Capital Partners LLC Announces the Issuance of $678,075,000 Secured Notes Wings Capital Partners LLC announced the issuance of $678,075,000 of fixed rate secured notes by WAVE 2019-1 LLC and WAVE 2019-1 Limited, comprised of $555,531,000 of 3.597% Series A Notes, $81,696,000 of 4.581% Series B Notes and $40,848,000 of 6.413% Series C Notes. Proceeds from the issuance of the Notes will be used by WAVE to acquire a portfolio of 23 Airbus and Boeing jet aircraft consisting of 100% in-production narrowbody jet aircraft on lease to a diversified pool of 17 customers in 13 countries.
