DAE Announces Completion of United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX Mandate
Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has completed delivery of all 10 Boeing 737-9 aircraft to United Airlines under a previously disclosed sale-and-leaseback agreement. The mandate was executed in just six months from contract signing to final delivery, reflecting strong coordination between both organisations. CEO Firoz Tarapore highlighted United’s continued confidence and noted that the introduction of new-technology, fuel-efficient 737-9 aircraft aligns with United’s ongoing fleet modernisation plans. DAE emphasised that it looks forward to deepening its relationship with the airline as both pursue long-term growth strategies.
EirTrade Aviation Acquires Two A320neos with PW1127 GTF Engines
EirTrade Aviation has acquired two six-year-old Airbus A320neo aircraft powered by PW1127G geared turbofan engines. With global shortages of PW1100 spare engines continuing, EirTrade will offer the engines for sale to support operator demand. The airframes will be disassembled at the company’s facility at Knock (Ireland West Airport), expanding its teardown capability for next-generation narrowbodies. Chief Investment Officer Lee Carey said the acquisition reinforces EirTrade’s ongoing commitment to new-technology aircraft, noting the company’s previous milestone as the first to disassemble retired Boeing 787 aircraft for parts support.
Genesis Closes $650 Million Warehouse Facility to Support Portfolio Growth
Genesis has successfully closed and upsized its warehouse credit facility to USD 650 million, adding a new lending partner and further strengthening its funding base. The facility is led by Citi, with Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank and BayernLB as co-lenders. CFO Adam Smyth stated that the expanded facility provides strategic flexibility for Genesis as it prepares for growth initiatives into 2026 and beyond. The increased capacity positions the company to capture emerging market opportunities while continuing to scale its commercial aircraft portfolio.
Acumen’s Take
On DAE’s 737-9 Deliveries to United
DAE’s rapid execution of a 10-aircraft sale-and-leaseback underscores the lessor’s operational efficiency and reinforces its position as a key partner for U.S. majors. United’s fleet renewal trajectory continues to create opportunities for well-capitalised lessors with strong OEM pipelines.
On EirTrade’s A320neo Acquisition
EirTrade’s move reflects rising demand for new-technology engine material as operators face prolonged PW1100 GTF shortages. The addition of A320neo teardowns positions the company to capture strong aftermarket demand across both engines and high-value narrowbody components.
On Genesis’ Expanded Warehouse Facility
Genesis’ upsized funding facility signals confidence from global lenders in the company’s growth strategy. Additional liquidity gives the platform flexibility to pursue scale and portfolio diversification, particularly as aircraft trading opportunities expand into 2026.
