Air India Deploys Brand New Boeing 787-9 On Mumbai-London Heathrow Services

Air India has begun operating its newest Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the Mumbai-London Heathrow route, with flights AI131/AI130 featuring new cabin interiors installed directly on Boeing’s production line. The deployment also introduces Premium Economy on the route, giving passengers a wider choice across Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

 

Air India Express Restores Services Across West Asia Network

Air India Express has restored connectivity across its West Asia network with the resumption of services to Salalah in Oman and Kuwait. The airline now operates flights to 13 destinations across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with about 780 weekly flights between India and West Asia.

 

Akasa Air Welcomes 40th Aircraft

Akasa Air has welcomed its 40th aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 registered VT-YBQ, which arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on 3 July 2026. The milestone reflects the airline’s continued fleet expansion following its firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 186 additional aircraft scheduled for delivery over the next six years.
