Aviation Capital Group (ACG) announced the delivery of three Airbus A321neo aircraft to Wizz Air, powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The transaction reinforces ACG’s role as a key partner in supporting the airline’s fleet modernisation and high-density European growth strategy.

Avelo Airlines marked the fourth anniversary of its operations at Tweed–New Haven Airport (HVN), where the carrier first launched flights on 3 November 2021. Since its debut at HVN, Avelo has served over 3.8 million customers and expanded its network to 28 destinations. Founder and CEO Andrew Levy said, “Four years ago Avelo took flight from Connecticut with a simple but powerful purpose: to Inspire Travel. More airplanes and destinations are on the way.” The milestone reflects Avelo’s continued success with its small-airport, point-to-point strategy.

Southwest Airlines and Philippine Airlines Launch Partnership

Southwest Airlines and Philippine Airlines (PAL) have launched a new partnership enabling expanded travel options across the Pacific. Passengers can now book journeys connecting via Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, and Honolulu, with PAL providing long-haul international services and Southwest facilitating domestic U.S. connections. PAL serves destinations across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and the Philippines. Southwest COO Andrew Watterson said, “Each airline partnership brings unique and incremental reach globally for both carriers. With our strong presence in California and nearly 90 daily flights touching the Hawaiian Islands, Southwest is positioned uniquely to serve PAL’s passengers travelling to and from the United States.” The collaboration widens connectivity for both airlines and strengthens trans-Pacific travel flows.

On the Southwest–PAL Partnership

The Southwest–PAL partnership strengthens trans-Pacific connectivity by linking PAL’s long-haul network with Southwest’s extensive domestic footprint. For U.S. travellers, the tie-up simplifies access to the Philippines and broader Asia, while PAL benefits from improved U.S. feed through major West Coast gateways.
