The acquisition strengthens AFG’s freighter portfolio as demand for narrowbody cargo capacity remains resilient. The A321PCF continues to be one of the most sought-after converted freighter types, driven by strong e-commerce flows and regional cargo demand.
AviLease Prices US$850 Million of Senior Unsecured Notes Due 2030
AviLease announced the pricing of US$850 million in 4.75% senior unsecured notes due 2030, issued by AviLease Capital Limited under the company’s Global Medium-Term Note Programme. CEO Edward O’Byrne said, “We are delighted to open the unsecured debt capital markets as a new funding channel for AviLease, following the corporate ratings we obtained from Moody’s and Fitch earlier this year. This is an important chapter for the company as we enhance the depth, diversity, and flexibility of our funding toolkit.” The transaction marks AviLease’s debut in the 144A/Reg S market and expands its access to institutional capital as the lessor continues its investment-grade growth trajectory.
