Air India Adds Over 170 Weekly Flights to Domestic and Short-Haul International Network
Air India announced a significant network expansion for the Northern Winter Schedule, effective 26 October 2025, with the addition of 174 weekly flights across key domestic and short-haul international routes. Operated by its single-aisle fleet, the new services will strengthen connectivity to major Indian cities and key Southeast Asian destinations, particularly in the high-demand business and leisure sectors. The increased frequency supports Air India’s continued growth under its Vihaan.AI transformation plan and reflects the carrier’s focus on improving market share and capacity deployment in competitive regional corridors.
FLY91 Launches ‘Smart Ticket’
Regional carrier FLY91 introduced its new fare product, the ‘Smart Ticket’, available across all sales channels from 1 October 2025. Designed for passengers seeking flexibility and convenience, the Smart Ticket offers a blend of affordability and added value for those likely to make itinerary changes. FLY91 CEO Manoj Chacko stated that the product addresses growing traveller demand for predictability and peace of mind, particularly among business and family segments. The fare includes enhanced modification options, aligning with FLY91’s customer-first approach and positioning it as a differentiated player in India’s regional aviation landscape.
IndiGo Strengthens Connectivity to China
IndiGo announced the launch of daily direct flights between Delhi and Guangzhou, China, beginning 10 November 2025, operated by its Airbus A320 fleet. The route follows IndiGo’s recent reinstatement of services from Kolkata to China and further expands its footprint in Northeast Asia. IndiGo Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra emphasised that the new connection supports trade, tourism, and education links between the two countries. The addition reinforces IndiGo’s role in driving India’s outbound and inbound travel growth while advancing its broader strategy of expanding affordable international access.
