Air India Enters Interline Partnership with STARLUX Airlines
Air India has entered into an interline agreement with Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines, enabling passengers to book single-ticket itineraries combining flights operated by both carriers. Through this partnership, Air India customers can now access Taipei via key Southeast Asian gateways including Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, and Kuala Lumpur. Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal said, “We are excited to partner with luxury full-service carrier STARLUX Airlines to enhance travel options for our customers to Taiwan. This interline agreement aligns perfectly with Air India’s commitment to delivering premium experiences while welcoming STARLUX customers to explore India’s diverse destinations with full-service comfort.” The partnership enhances connectivity between India and Northeast Asia, reflecting Air India’s focus on expanding premium international travel options.
Akasa Air Revamps Uniforms for Ground Services Team
Akasa Air unveiled new uniforms for its ground services staff, designed by Rajesh Pratap Singh, to better reflect the airline’s modern, employee-centric ethos. The refreshed attire—tailored for Engineering, Cargo, Security, and Airport Services teams—balances comfort, functionality, and brand identity. Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Belson Coutinho stated that the redesign reinforces Akasa’s commitment to creating a cohesive and empowering workplace culture. “Every element, from the fabric to the fit, has been thoughtfully considered to meet the functional needs of our team members while embodying our brand’s progressive and inclusive spirit,” he said. The initiative forms part of Akasa’s broader strategy to strengthen internal identity and employee well-being across all service touchpoints.
IndiGo Flies Non-Stop from Mumbai to London
IndiGo launched its inaugural non-stop service between Mumbai and London Heathrow on 27 October 2025, operated by its two-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The daily service marks a key milestone in IndiGo’s long-haul expansion strategy as the airline continues its transformation into a global network carrier. The route strengthens connectivity between India and the UK, a high-demand market driven by education, tourism, and diaspora travel. CEO Pieter Elbers said, “This route is not just a new destination for us—it’s a bridge between cultures, businesses, and families.
