Aquila Air Capital Establishes Office in Fort Worth

Dublin-based Aquila Air Capital announced the opening of its new U.S. office in Fort Worth, Texas. The Dallas–Fort Worth region hosts a concentration of major aviation stakeholders, including Lockheed Martin, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Embraer, Gulfstream Aerospace, and MTU Aero Engines. Aquila CEO Al Wood stated, “Fort Worth’s rising profile as a leading hub for the global aviation and aerospace industry is the principal reason we chose to locate our U.S. office here, where we can continue our growth as a leading full-service engine leasing platform.” The expansion strengthens Aquila’s operational reach and positions the company closer to a key cluster of aviation and aerospace investors, operators, and maintenance providers in North America.

 

Avolon Agrees TAAG Angola Airlines Boeing 787-9 Sale and Leaseback

Avolon announced the completion of a sale and leaseback transaction for one Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with TAAG Angola Airlines. The aircraft, delivered at the end of September, marks Avolon’s first placement with Angola’s national carrier. President and Chief Commercial Officer Paul Geaney commented, “We are proud to welcome TAAG Angola Airlines as a new customer and support the growth of their widebody fleet. Africa is one of the fastest-growing aviation regions globally, and TAAG will play a pivotal role in expanding connectivity across the continent.” The deal further extends Avolon’s footprint in Africa and aligns with its strategy to diversify its customer base through strategic widebody placements.

 

MONTE Finances Three Reims-Cessna F406 Aircraft for RVL Aviation

MONTE announced the delivery of three Reims-Cessna F406 aircraft to UK-based RVL Aviation, financed through long-term lease agreements. The aircraft will support RVL’s expanding contracted operations across the United Kingdom, enhancing its capabilities in aerial surveillance, environmental monitoring, and bespoke charter services. The transaction highlights MONTE’s focus on flexible leasing solutions for turboprop and specialised aircraft operators, reinforcing its niche presence within the European regional aviation finance market.
