Dublin Aerospace Welcomes Former Spirit Airlines A320neo
Dublin Aerospace has welcomed a former Spirit Airlines Airbus A320neo to its Dublin hangar for base maintenance ahead of its next operator. The aircraft, N961NK, an Airbus A320-271N c/n 11003 owned by SMBC Aviation Capital, routed Phoenix-Bangor-Dublin on 10–11 June. Planespotters reports the aircraft is registered as OE-IED for Condor Airlines.
Dublin Named Launch Base for Ryanair’s 737 MAX-10
Ryanair has announced that Dublin Airport will be the first base to receive its new 228-seat Boeing 737 MAX-10 aircraft, subject to proposed 15 per cent cuts in Dublin Airport fees by the independent IAA Regulator. The aircraft will offer 21 per cent more seats per departure than the 189-seat Boeing 737-800. Ryanair said the MAX-10 deliveries will increase its network average seat gauge from 189 seats in 2019 to 206 seats by 2034, with Dublin expected to see higher average seat gauge and overall capacity.
Swiss Reinstates Geneva-Dublin Route
Swiss International Air Lines has reinstated its seasonal Geneva-Dublin service, with flights resuming on 28 June 2026 following a three-month suspension. The route operates as flights LX410/411 using 145-seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The reinstated inaugural service was operated by Airbus A220-300 HB-JCT, msn 55046, marking the return of the carrier’s direct Geneva-Dublin link for the summer season.

Tokyo Century Corp Airbus A320-232 2-JJPC, c/n 5093, was ferried to Malta on 25 June 2026. The aircraft was previously registered as JA01JJ.

Emirates Starlink Wi-Fi Passes One Million Connections
Emirates says its Starlink-equipped Airbus A380 aircraft can deliver more than 2 Gbps of combined bandwidth, enabling complimentary high-speed internet across all cabin classes. The service supports activities including live calls and streaming at cruising altitude, marking a significant step up from the airline’s first-generation onboard systems, which delivered less than 1 Mbps of total aircraft bandwidth. Emirates continues to offer complimentary connectivity across its inflight Wi-Fi services.
Etihad Airways Marks 20 Years of Flying to France
Etihad Airways is marking 20 years of services to France, having launched flights between Abu Dhabi and Paris in June 2006 with six weekly frequencies. The airline now operates up to three daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Paris, alongside seasonal summer services to Nice. Etihad’s wider network has grown to 118 destinations, supported by a fleet of 124 aircraft.
Executive Jet Support Begins Airbus A330 Teardown Programme
Executive Jet Support has begun dismantling an Airbus A330, MSN 253, acquired from Air Caraïbes Atlantique to expand its inventory of widebody aftermarket components. The teardown is being carried out in Bydgoszcz, Poland, in partnership with ALL4JETS. Recovered components will be inspected, documented and added to EJS’s inventory for distribution to airline and MRO customers worldwide.
Former AeroSur President Plans New Bolivian Airline for 2027
Former AeroSur president Humberto Roca has announced plans to launch a new airline in Bolivia in February 2027. The carrier is expected to begin operations with three aircraft configured for around 170 passengers and initially serve four international and two domestic routes. Roca said the airline will be managed by his son, with discussions already underway with Bolivian aviation authorities.
GA Telesis and CASC Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
GA Telesis has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Aviation Supplies Co., Ltd. during the inaugural MRO Greater China exhibition on 26 May 2026. The agreement builds on GA Telesis’ longstanding involvement in China’s aviation aftermarket and establishes a framework for deeper cooperation between the two companies.
GE Aerospace and UKEF Launch US$1 Billion Engine Maintenance Financing Programme
GE Aerospace and UK Export Finance have introduced a new financing framework to support airline engine maintenance at GE Aerospace overhaul facilities in Wales and Scotland. UKEF is expected to back up to US$1 billion in financing over the next five years. The programme is designed to improve access to funding for engine maintenance and support airline planning around future shop visits.
HSBC Supports First K-SURE-Backed Aircraft Financing for Korean Air
HSBC has supported the first aircraft financing transaction backed by Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, covering a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner delivered to Korean Air. The bank acted across multiple roles, including ECA Coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger and Original Lender. The transaction marks the first use of K-SURE cover for an aircraft financing and was structured to provide Korean Air with a competitively priced funding solution.
IATA Outlines Four Priorities to Strengthen Aviation Supply Chain
IATA has identified four priorities to address persistent aerospace supply chain challenges: improving supply chain visibility, opening up the aftermarket, unlocking greater value from data, digitalisation and AI, and building human capacity. The association said the aircraft order backlog now exceeds 18,000, while the average fleet age has reached a record 15.2 years. IATA estimates supply chain failures cost airlines at least US$11 billion in 2025, driven by factors including delayed aircraft replacements, higher lease rates and increased maintenance costs.
JetBlue Launches Largest-Ever Fort Lauderdale Schedule
JetBlue has expanded its operation at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport with the launch of eight new nonstop destinations, with another six planned. The expansion strengthens JetBlue’s position at Fort Lauderdale, where it operates the most flights and nonstop destinations. Finnair Cargo has appointed HAE Group as its General Sales and Service Agent in Ireland to strengthen its presence in the Irish air freight market. HAE Group will represent Finnair Cargo locally and support customer access to the airline’s global network. Finnair operates daily narrowbody services from Dublin using containerised Airbus A320 aircraft, with shipment capacity of up to 1,100 kilograms per piece, including pharmaceuticals and perishables.
IAA Proposes 15 Per Cent Cut to Dublin Airport Airline Charges
The Irish Aviation Authority has proposed reducing the charges airlines pay to use Dublin Airport by 15 per cent from 2027. Airlines have welcomed the proposal, while DAA has argued that higher charges are needed to support airport expansion. Macedonia to Lead Investigation into Ryanair Decompression Incident

The flight, which had departed Greece, suffered an apparent engine failure and cabin decompression after a window was shattered, injuring a Serbian passenger seated nearby.
