Acumen staying fighting fit !!

Phew!! What a great last week it has been. It all started off with the good news of our Dublin Office and introduction to our European colleagues. Slowly as the week drew on and the celebrations were growing mild, we had our excellent offsite program – a day full of fun, games and sessions of burning calories on the gym floor. Yes, it is true!! Unlike the previous occasions where the offsite events were at plush hotels and included sumptuous lunch parties, this offsite event was held at Fitness Fight Club, Bangalore - one of the best gyms dedicated to state-of-the-art fitness regimes and variety of martial arts. The day started off unlike any of the other days we spend in office – no morning meetings, discussions, no records review and no coffee. This day was dedicated to the staff who painstakingly put in hours every week in front of the computer screens raking through aircraft records hardly realizing that the body needs its fair share of exercise too. So here we were, in the gym at 10 am going through the drills not once caring or more so – even missing – our computers and the work. This was the day to let our hair loose, quite literally. As we got through the day, the joy of having the opportunity to put on the boxing gloves and beating away at the punching bags was quite heartening. The sweet pain in the body, the ache in the muscles and the smile on the face was, to simply put it, AWESOME. All in all, the day was very well spent and the activity got the team a whole lot closer – minus the boundaries of their cubicles and minus the intricacies of their work shifts and most importantly minus the differences in post or positions. I guess seeing is believing - so here are some of the candid moments captured from this eventful day. PS: I hope all my colleagues will enjoy this blog as much as I did writing about it.
