Air Canada Continues Strategic Network Growth

Air Canada announced it is boosting its North American network capacity for summer 2024 with the addition of two new destinations (Charleston, Tulum) five new routes, increased flight frequencies on key routes, and earlier start date of key seasonal routes in response to projected market demand.  Air Canada Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning Mark Galardo, said "We are excited to add two brand new destinations to our global network, Tulum, Mexico from our Toronto and Montreal hubs, and Charleston, South Carolina from Toronto, plus new Austin and St. Louis flights from Montreal in summer 2024. These new destinations and routes reflect Air Canada's market leadership and network diversification strategy of adding capacity to in-demand leisure destinations such as Tulum and fast-growing, key metropolitan areas in the US."

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announces new aircraft deliveries to Sunclass Airlines

Air Lease Corporation announced the delivery of two new Airbus aircraft new A321-200neo and one new A330-900neo to Denmark based Sunclass Airlines in December on long-term lease. Air Lease Corporation Executive Chairman Steven Udvar-Házy said “We are pleased to announce the first of two A321-200neos and the first of three A330-900neos delivered to Sunclass Airlines. With these new ALC aircraft, Sunclass will continue to progress its fleet modernization program adding new generation widebodies and narrowbodies that offer the most advanced technology and efficiency."

Alaska Airlines adds as Porter Airlines new partner carrier 

Alaska Airlines announced its welcoming new global airline partner, Porter Airlines, that commences its new nonstop routes between Toronto and Los Angeles and San Francisco in January 2024 using 132 seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.  Alaska Airlines Vice President of loyalty, alliances and sales Brett Catlin said "Porter Airlines opens new opportunities for our guests to travel to Canada in style. We’re thrilled to partner with a vibrant and growing airline that offers a refined experience including top-notch inflight service and terrific onboard amenities.”

 
American Airlines and Philippine Airlines launch new codeshare partnership

American Airlines and Philippine Airlines announced they launched a codeshare partnership that introduces the first marketed flights by a Philippine carrier to several U.S. destinations and allows American’s customers to travel to destination on Philippine Airlines route network. American’s Vice President of Global Alliances and Partnership Anmol Bhargava said "We are excited to partner with Philippine Airlines, which will provide our customers seamless connections to Manila, the capital and economic hub of the region, and Cebu, the gateway to countless tropical islands with pristine beaches. The Philippines is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia, and we look forward to continuing to enhance our partnership with Philippine Airlines."
