At China Brand Day events, China Eastern Airlines shines

Over 1,000 Chinese brands participated in the China Brand Day activities, which began in mid-May at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. In order to create an immersive experience for attendees, China Eastern Airlines (CEA) displayed its cabin services, in-flight meals, technologically advanced products, and other interactive experiences at the events. This clearly demonstrated the company's commitment to providing exquisite experiences for travellers with focused and meticulous services.

 

First Airbus A330-300P2F delivered to Sichuan Airlines

CDB Aviation announced the re-delivery of China’s first-ever converted Airbus A330-300 Passenger to Freighter aircraft on lease to Sichuan Airlines. The A330 was converted by Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH with Shanghai Technologies Aerospace Company Limited at its facilities in Shanghai Pudong, concluding EFW’s first-ever A330 P2F conversion to have taken place in China. CDB Aviation CEO Jie Chen, said “This re-delivery marks a significant milestone for Sichuan Airlines and China as we see the outcome of intense work and collaboration resulting in the arrival of the country’s very first A330 P2F.”

 

Hainan Airlines reconnects Brussels and Shenzhen

Hainan Airlines announced it will reconnect Brussels and Shenzhen effective from 21 June operating twice weekly, as route was previously terminated in 2020 during the pandemic.

 

SF Airlines and ST Engineering Announce an MRO Joint Venture

In Ezhou, Hubei, China, SF Airlines and ST Engineering's Commercial Aerospace division have formed a new joint venture firm (JVCo). A registered capital of RMB100m (about S$19m) was used to form the JVCo, 60% of the JVCo is owned by ST Engineering, and 40% is owned by SF Airlines.  In order to provide airframe Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services to cargo and passenger airlines operating in the Asia region, notably SF Airlines, the JVCo will operate a greenfield airframe MRO facility at the Ezhou Huahu Airport. The facility is planned to be operational in 2025.
