BOC Aviation Announces New Orders For Three Boeing 787-9 Aircraft BOC Aviation announced 31 May that it has agreed to purchase three new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners from Boeing, taking the total number of this aircraft model in the Company’s fleet or on order to 14. All three aircraft have been placed on long-term leases with Air Europa, and are scheduled to be delivered to the airline in 2020. Chinese tourists to Greece set to double in 2018Chinese tourists to Greece set to double in 2018 The number of Chinese tourists visiting Greece in 2018 is expected to rise by more than 50 percent, Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura said. Following a hike of 35 percent in 2017, Greece is expected to welcome a record number of Chinese visitors. Speaking to AMNA Kountoura said that Greece is giving a large emphasis on the tourism market of China. The aircraft was delivered to the Russian carrier, Aeroflot, under a 12-year operating lease agreement. Hainan Airlines introduces third destination in Canada Hainan Airlines launched a new link from Shenzhen (SZX) to Vancouver (YVR) via Tianjin (TSN) on 25 May. The 10,400-kilometre link will be operated twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays from China, with the airline’s 787-8s scheduled to serve the route. HNA Group to acquire 100 ARJ21s and 200 C919s in strategic deal with COMAC China Commercial Aircraft Company (COMAC) and Hainan Airlines Group (HNA Group) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, regarding cooperation in aircraft procurement and operation, and aviation maintenance, as well as to jointly promote the Chinese-made civil aircraft. Under the agreement, HNA Group plans to gradually introduce 100 new ARJ21s and 200 C919s. The two sides will work together in building the country's regional aviation network. HNA Group will deploy the aircraft with subsidiary Africa World Airways in Ghana and as well as other subsidiary airlines. Virgin Australia and Hainan Airlines announce new codeshare partnership Virgin Australia and Hainan Airlines have announced a new codeshare agreement that’ll allow a “streamlined travel experience” for guests flying between Australia and China. Under the new partnership, guests travelling from China will have access to an expanded network of Virgin Australia connections over Australia and the trans-Tasman including Cairns, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.
